We have Hannah. gilland in the house i'm so excited about this she does not want to be here at all she's already told me by the way we're cutting this podcast at 8 39 on a thursday morning and it's cold outside it's freezing and it's cold in here where we're cutting this podcast because i don't turn the heat up because we're only here like whatever once a week now where we cut these podcasts so anyways hannah i'm so glad you're here thank you for doing this it is very important and uh and i appreciate you being here

Absolutely. So even though we've kind of cut these backwards, so this is the first episode in our Money in Marriage series. If you're listening to this, we'll do a three-part series, which I'm super excited about. And this is part one. And if you can kind of connect the dots, it's part one because Logan and Hannah are recently married. And we're going to talk about their money journey before, during, and now where they're at in their marriage. And we'll kind of pull back some onion layers. In the second episode, Logan interviews my wife, Brandy, and me. She was about as excited as Hannah is to be here, but it was fantastic. And she probably, what, provided 70%, 80% of the content?
Yeah, she talked the whole time.
Yeah, and didn't throw me under the bus. Maybe once, not too much. Maybe once. Maybe some small digs. Oh, there were digs. I don't know if people picked up on it. I certainly did. We had some discussion later, I'll tell you that much. No, I'm just joking. And then the third episode, which I was super excited, and I already, again, did this recording, so I kind of am privy to this, but is a couple that both Logan, well, all of us know. Hannah knows as well. Brandy knows really well. A couple that has been married for 64 years, going on 65 years. Unbelievable. And not only do we talk money and their marriage, but we talk about marriage and, you know, the 64 years in marriage and so forth. And there's an opening line that Carol says that's really cute.
Oh, yeah? Yeah, wait till you hear that. All right, but we're going to dive right in. So Hannah, I know, again, I know you don't like this. You're uncomfortable. And you were probably angry at Logan all yesterday or whenever he asked you. I think he said, hey, can you come into the office at 8.30 or something? And you were like, I'm not going on the podcast. Isn't that basically what you said?
Yes, and it was my birthday as well. It was your birthday just yesterday, right? Happy birthday. Happy birthday, Hannah.
So let's dial back a little bit. You all have been married how long now?
It was three years just recently, October 8th.
Three years. That is quick. Yeah. I mean, I was at that wedding. Hard to believe. Three years ago. Yeah. And that was a great wedding. I remember it fondly. It was about as cold as this upstairs is.
It was cold.
It was chilly.
Yeah.
So, Hannah, I want to dive right in. And this is an opportunity. I know, again, you know, not... Very happy to be here. But it is your opportunity to voice what it's like to be in a marriage now with a certified financial planner, a guy who is now a voice of DIY money and a voice of Juul Financial and sort of living the DIY money lifestyle. So I want to know today... What does money look like and how is it handled and how are the bills paid and just kind of what's the process in your marriage now that you guys go through?
Well, like you said, he's so involved with the finance world that really he does take the lead on most of it. Although we're a team, I do trust him to kind of make some of those bigger decisions for us, and we discuss those. But at the end of the day, he really does kind of lead in that area of our marriage.
And I appreciate that.
