We're going to jump right into our question today because we've got a doozy. Let me give you some back story here just briefly. Morris is one of my running partners. And he is the gentleman who I am trying to convince to basically either add as a additional line item in his professional resume or do it as his primary business, becoming a running coach. Wow.
Logan (host) 1:34
Because he was your primary coach for this last still is.
Quint (host) 1:37
Yeah, still is. Yeah. He stuck with me. I'm going to basically I'm on the gratis plan. So I buy him lunch every now and again. And he basically tells me all the things I do wrong in running. Isn't that your wife's job? Which is great.
Logan (host) 1:52
Let's give you some props, too, before we get into our question. I mean, you just PR'd.
Quint (host) 1:57
I PR'd in a half marathon. It was amazing. Yeah, it was totally a fluke. I mean, not a fluke, like I just didn't intend on doing it. Ran a 136, I think, even or pretty close there. It was awesome. It was amazing. And it was kind of humorous because I ran under a female racer. Because it was like last minute thing. She couldn't go was like, hey, you know, anybody that wants this? I was like, I'll take it. And, you know, paid her some money and ran. And so she got fourth in her age group. It was kind of funny. But anyways, Morris, we were running one day. He is newly engaged. Bravo to him. And he was talking about money and kind of – he had listened to all the podcast episodes we've done on this before. And he just had another kind of question slash angle, and I never get old talking about money in marriage.
Quint (host) 2:49
I'm extremely passionate about that. Why? As I wrote in the book, there has never been a statistic that I've been able to find. You will often hear people cite that money is the number one cause of divorce. I have never found that statistic. I think that's made up. However, what I did find was that it was often one of the most – cited areas of conflict among divorce decrees, like up there with all the other things that could happen in a marriage. So it is certainly one of the areas that creates conflict, tension, frustration, all of the above inside of a marriage, such that we are going to, after a couple more weeks, do a three-part series where I'm super excited. We're going to interview both you and Hannah-
Unknown 3:39
Oh yeah. Oh, things just got real.
Quint (host) 3:43
Uh, you're going to, my wife is stoked. Oh yeah. She's not happy about that. You're going to interview Brandy and I, and then I'm going to interview a couple that has been married over 65 years. And we're going to kind of go through the generations of how to think about money, uh, you know, how to handle money in your marriage, communicate about money, et cetera. I'm super stoked about that. So when Morris started talking about that, I said, send in a question because this is great. I want to talk about this on air. And then I abruptly stopped talking and I said, I will discuss this no more. No, I'm kidding, of course. So he sent in a question. So all that to say, Morris, what do you got?
D-I-Y-S.
