Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen. You're listening to another edition of DIY Money. DIY Money. Hey, Howard, is BAMF the next trip? Is there anything in the interim?
In the interim, BAMF is next week. What? Did you not realize how soon it is? It's next week? Yeah, and I'll tell you right now, we still have not booked our campsites, so no problem. When exactly? We leave a week from Saturday. Okay, the 6th. The 6th. Same day I'll be running. Yes, and then we get back the following week. And the only thing we've done so far is book our flights, so that's a little stressful, but we're working on it.
Why have you not done the others?
Well, great question. We've all been so busy and I think no one has wanted to take the ball to like, this is what we're going to do. This is the hikes we're going to do. We're going to stay. So no problem. But we're also camping. So it's not as deep as like, if you wait on getting a hotel room, it's like, well, good luck. For camping.
So are you, when you travel to do this, like you're in the airport and you have this big backpack of camping stuff. Yes. Do you wear like camping boots, like hiking boots in the airport?
I hate to say it. I am that person.
So you look like you're on a Girl Scout troop going on a mission trip or something.

I mean, it's a combination of all the things. That's a crazy thing.
Because your hiking boots are so big and heavy, if you put them in your bag, that's like half the room. So I always have to wear them.

It's fine. That's what you think. I bump into people all the time at the airport. But anyways, I'd be like, I'm going hiking. Of course. That's what I'm doing. Absolutely. So where do you fly out of, and what's the, you're flying out of Lexington?
We fly out of Louisville.

Great question. I think we're going Delta.

I don't know. I booked the flights like a month ago. All right. To get the cheap, the cheaper airfare. And that's the extent that I've prepared for this trip.
Okay. It's going to be awesome. I can't wait to hear about it.
I have been for a while. You know how once you look at one singular thing on Instagram, if you like look at it too long, then for the next like six years, you're just going to get all that thing. For sure. Yeah. The good news is I've, like, interacted with enough Banff, like, hikes or you have to see this or whatever that I have ideas of different places we want to go.
Somebody's going to have to take control of this group. How many people are going?
It's me and two of my Katie's.
So there's only three of you. Correct. Okay. Yeah, somebody's going to have to step up and be like, this is what I propose.
I think one of the Katie's just found a bunch of camping stuff, and we did decide we're going to rent a car. We're big balling. We're getting a car.
Oh, wow.
We're not going to go by bus. So it'll be interesting. Okay. But I'm excited about it. We are going to be worried sick.
