Love the Christmas season. Very excited. It's weird this year. It feels packed. Like we had Thanksgiving, and 30 seconds later, we're going to have Christmas.
Because it was so late this year.

Have you started Christmas shopping yet?
So my wife does a lot of that. I'm not a great shopper. I have bought a couple of things for some people, kids, et cetera, but that were on our list already. I need to really buckle down on my wife. She's very difficult this year for some reason, has given me no hints. Usually throughout the year, she's like, oh. I'd really like one of these or I really need to get into this or I really need to blah, blah, blah. And I got nothing. I got nothing. So I hit up. She has two really close groups of girls that are in her life and know her the best. And so I hit them up this morning. And that was, oh, my gosh. I mean, might as well just thrown a spaghetti plate at my head. I mean, it was fine, but I got like, oh, this, that, this, that, that, that.
So they were too helpful?

Well, it just was like, she would like this. You should check this place out. Yeah, that place is great, but there's another one over here, and there's another one here. Ah! So I was like, okay. But I have some ideas for that. And yeah, so I need to get on that.
I've shot myself in the foot this year. Last year, I kept a note on my phone throughout the year. And when I thought of like, oh, this would be a good gift for my brother, I would write it down. And then when Christmas came, I had already figured out what I was getting. Almost everyone. And they were like thoughtful gifts. You know what I didn't do this year, Quinn?

Didn't keep the dang notes. How much more am I supposed to take?
And now I regret it. I'm learning something about you. Most people are progressing in life. There's some regression here. And it's almost like self-induced. I mean, again, you had some great months of some big things in your life. And then it was supposed to be no snooze November. And then you're like, no, not doing that. And then December was like, and I was like, what are we doing on December? Do nothing December. I don't know, Quint.
Well, I like the idea of taking these notes. Why did you stop? I think I forgot, honestly, until it was too late. All right. And now, I mean, there's no point in starting the note now. No, no, no.
Because now it's grind time. Yeah, it's grind time.
But I've only purchased one gift thus far. I'm not going to say what it is because it's for my mom. And occasionally she'll listen to these. So I don't want the spoiler. But get hype if you're listening, Mom.
It's a big gift. It's a big gift.
And if you're anyone else in my family listening, don't get hype. Because I got nothing. Lower your expectations.
I got nothing. It was bad. Yeah, you know, and I struggle with the Grinch type things too because I'm just not a big fan of the blitz marketing that is this time of year. It bothers me because I do know so many people are struggling, and I do know the peer pressure of, like, gift buying and holiday shopping and all these events. And, you know, I know people that are just trying to make it. day-to-day, and the last thing they need is another, like, oh, I got to do this. And so it bothers me sometimes. So I really try to be thoughtful. And I'm not trying to – this is not like a humble brag at all.
How do hosts describe their holiday shopping strategies and frustrations?
I struggle with that because I would be one of those guys who could just be like – I'm not celebrating. I mean, I'm going to celebrate. Does that make sense? It gets overwhelming. It really does. This is way too stressful.
Too much to handle.
We had a card off the tree at our church kind of thing, and that was fun because a young boy wanted a musical instrument, which I thought was really cool.
