What are the hosts chatting about in the intro and coffee banter?

Allie (host) 0:00
Hey, this is Daniel. Thanks for listening to DIY Money. If you haven't already, be sure to give us a five-star review on iTunes so your friends know that they can learn from the show. Now, enjoy the show.
Logan (host) 0:15
Welcome back to another edition of DIY Money.
Allie Howard 0:18
DIY Money.
Logan (host) 0:20
What's shaking, eh, Howard?
Allie Howard 0:22
Lately, we've been on that coffee game. You're really in it lately. This is bad. This is day three of you drinking coffee?
Logan (host) 0:28
No, day two in a row. But I go through these phases now where I drink it for a few days. And then I'm like, no, I got to go back to my days of not having caffeine and not having any of it. Because, I mean, I have the energy regardless for the most part. But I'm telling you, the, like, headaches you get are horrible. Like, to go off of caffeine, it's terrible.
Allie Howard 0:54
That's why you never stop. That's what you're missing. Well, I know. You drink it every day.
Logan (host) 0:57
I get why people just drink it every day. They're like, it just continues.
Allie Howard 1:01
I can't even function until I have my coffee.
Logan (host) 1:03
I mean, it feels like you get hit in the head with a baseball bat. It's, like, terrible.
Unknown 1:06
Yeah, there's nothing quite like a steaming cup full of an addictive drug in the morning.
Logan (host) 1:12
But I will say, I went like a few days without and I feel like I slept better. I think there's something to it, Allie.
Allie Howard 1:19
Oh my.
Logan (host) 1:20
Like I feel like I might have to just cut it out.
Allie Howard 1:22
How's your espresso game?
Logan (host) 1:24
Okay.
Allie Howard 1:25
Because you got that espresso machine.
Logan (host) 1:27
As people that have listened to this for a long time, they know I like to cook, right? My wife got the little Nespresso thing.
Allie Howard 1:34
And Daniel rolled his eyes at it?
Logan (host) 1:35
Yeah, Daniel was like, that is not a real thing. You can't do K-cups. That's illegal, apparently. You have to take 25 minutes to pour over the water and use the metric system and all that nonsense. Cool. But it is fantastic because because I like to cook, it's kind of fun to like mix up the drinks and do all the things. So I I don't drink it very often. You know, I, you know, use the free coffee at the office just just to be candid. But I make them for my wife all the time because she does that every morning and I become like a barista.
Unknown 2:12
I would love a hazelnut almond milk latte with organic whipped cream. But I would actually love Godiva chocolate, like drizzle on top and pretty floral designs. And maybe some chocolate sprinkles. That would be really nice. I'm feeling a little festive today.
Allie Howard 2:27
I'll tell you, you made a comment about the free coffee at the office. It kind of ruined me, I'll be honest. Because Daniel, as you alluded to, it's bougie coffee.
Logan (host) 2:37
Yeah, he gets nice office coffee.
Allie Howard 2:39
Imported from Georgia, if you will.
Logan (host) 2:40
It's not Folgers. It's funny because Quinn will come in and he will only want the Folgers or the Starbucks. He doesn't want the fancy Colombian Ethiopian single origin blend that Daniel brings.
Allie Howard 2:54
Well, pre my time here, I would French press my coffee in the morning, which is pretty bougie. There's a process to it. You're grinding the beans day of, and it was bomb. And then shortly after working here, I was like... I can't French press my coffee anymore. It's not as good. And I was getting beans from a local roaster here in town and I was doing all the right things. But something about this coffee.
Logan (host) 3:18
Yeah, I will say that is true because then I'll go and I'll just have a regular cup of coffee from McDonald's or something and it makes me want to die. It's horrible. It's absolutely terrible. How dare you? But this... Is pretty good. And so I have started out on the top echelon of coffee. I'm glad you brought this up. This is a good topic because we've been talking a lot about the weather and being cold. And we've gotten messages from our folks that are up north and they're like, it's negative 10 outside and we just had a picnic. So yeah, they're like, you guys are idiots.
Allie Howard 3:46
