I was going to ask you another question. Yeah, go ahead. Hit it. Because you barely talked about it last episode. I'll just say it. What was the best meal that you had?
Oh, that's hard.
How do the hosts introduce the show and recent personal updates?
That's hard because I had a lot of varying meals. Excuse me, but... This has powdered sugar on it, and I ordered no sugar.
I really can't have too much sugar in the morning.
It's hard not to throw up there fondue dinner, a cheese fondue dinner in Lucerne, Switzerland, that I had with my family. I will tell you, though, and for those of you that have teenagers or older children, The, the meal time with the family, uh, was precious. And I found myself many, many occasions we'd be sitting there and nobody's on their phone. We're talking, we're laughing a lot of times. Uh, just, I'm more than often getting made fun of by my children, which is fine. I just part of love part of it. But it was valuable. And there was, again, a lot of moments where I sat back and I thought, this is why we do what we do. I stumbled upon a restaurant in Florence that was literally two blocks, maybe a block from our hotel.
I can't tell you the name of it. I could find it on a map for you. They had some of the best pesto pasta that I've ever had in my life. It was amazing. I can't speak highly enough about it. And then, of course, when we finished in Paris, this sounds weird and gross for a lot of people. I love escargot, which is snails. I love it. It was amazing. We had it multiple times. It was so good.
I want everybody to say, look at that escargot.
Yeah, so I don't, it's not like, oh, that was amazing. I mean, there were so many. I ate a lot.
It was about the company, not the meals.
That's really sweet. It was, for sure. The reason I love travel is, yeah, I like the sights and I like that. It's the experiences. It's the things that I remember. We went to Omaha Beach when we were in Paris. We hopped on a train. And we went to Omaha Beach and Utah Beach and, you know, the whole area in Normandy. And they did in the United States, I guess it's the, I can't think of it, Armed Force Cemetery or whatever. There's a U.S. cemetery there in Normandy. where anybody that was killed in the D-Day event is buried, and every day they'll play taps, lower the American flag, and do that ceremony. That was one of the most moving experiences, to be in a foreign country, And to see everyone, most Americans, clearly, in the cemetery stopping and watching this was powerful.
Very powerful. So, I don't know. It was awesome. All of it was awesome.
