Careful. Um I am very happy to see England on the horizon playing not one, not two, not three, four fixtures in this on this international break. Obviously it opens with Spain. The world champions? Then away to the Czech Republic, as we still affectionately call them, then away to Croatia, and then at home again to the Czech Republic. And then in November, obviously there's there's two more fixtures to conclude the um the group phases of the Nations League. Now there has been um a few notable inclusions from old Tommy Tuchel in his England squad this time round. We start with Trent Alexander. That's a big one.
Because we did sort of wonder if Tuchel just perhaps doesn't fancy him in the way that some internationals, particularly with Trent Alexander himself actually, have have have seemed to take against a player in terms of what they bring. And I'm excited to see that. He can he can add a lot of creativity. We all know what his what you know the positives of his of his game are. I think that's good. Yes.
Um, well, uh i I I'm pleasantly surprised to see him in there. I mean, m maybe Lee Carsley has had a word with Thomas Touch, 'cause we know he loves him. But he is in the squad and uh we've got uh I mean, the whole fullback situation was a funny old affair at the at the World Cup. Uh that wasn't the reason why England went out, of course. Um but yeah, I mean looking at the squad uh and looking at the defenders available, I know that there are some who can play fullback, like Ezri Conza. Um but sometimes we like a a round peg and a round hole, which which Trent m I suppose may or may not be 'cause he was playing midfield last time I saw in the Chapesse for Real Madrid. Sure. Um I mean he's not starting that many games and obviously under Jose Marini you think
Is he gonna play that much there? But we know what um um Alexander Arnold could bring to the English squad. You've got Nico O'Reilly in there as well. I wonder if Gerald Kwans will be used as a full back if i if if if he gets much of a game. Lewis Hall's in there as well. I'm really glad to see that. I think we all are because he was I think a bigger mission from the World Cup squad.
