Chapter 2: What military actions is President Trump considering against Iran?
Right now, air defense systems and strike aircraft are being rushed into the region. Jets used in the Maduro raid are arriving in the Middle East. B-52 bombers have arrived in Guam. And at sea, there are now eight American guided missile destroyers on station right now.
That's over 750 missile tubes that can fire Tomahawk cruise missiles deep inside Iran or missile interceptors should Iran launch short or medium range ballistic missiles at U.S. forces in the region or Israel. There are also U.S. Navy submarines lurking beneath the sea, their names and locations classified.

Last week's meeting in the United Arab Emirates was described as productive. It was the first time there had been negotiations involving Russia, Ukraine and the United States since the war in Ukraine began in 2022. The main issue standing between war and peace is territory. Russia wants more of it. Ukraine won't give up land its soldiers shed blood to defend.
Both sides say the other appears in no mood to compromise. President Trump's top envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, were at last week's talks. But according to Secretary of State Marco Rubio, neither will represent the U.S. today. Jonathan Savage, Fox News.
A federal judge refused to halt the immigration enforcement surge in Minnesota and the Twin Cities as the lawsuit proceeds.
