Uh let's start off uh first of all with the Roosters who moved to the top of the table with a commanding win against Penrith. Yeah, it wasn't a great game. Yeah. I know it was well only two tries scored by the Roosters, enough to win the game.
How did the Roosters top‑place the ladder by beating Penrith?
Uh brought a tear to the eye, to be honest with us. Just watching a game where defense was actually valued by both sides. Uh too many teams these days defend like they're just waiting to get the ball back. Uh but those two teams, you could see it in the Roosters. I know that they've they've been a bit up and down, but you could see I think Trent Robinson, he's back Background is as a defensive coach.

The Rooster are at their best when their their priority is their defense. And I think just as we sort of uh now heading towards the end of the season and they're picking up their act, and obviously they they're leading the competition now, so they haven't been going too badly. Um we've got to ask what happens to the Penrith now without Isaiah Yo. Mm. That's a big thing. I don't know where we go or where the Panthers go with that. I I did note that Ivan Cleary spoke after the game and I thought it was quite interesting what he said.

He said that he was kind of pleased with Ah de what the game showed him. Just things that they probably just uh had forgotten to pay enough attention to and just Little effort areas basically they are. Uh and whereas this the the last two weeks the losses to the Warriors and the and the uh the Roosters have just shown him exactly where he needs to they need to improve heading into the finals.
So I just don't think it's gonna bounce. I reckon that's bravado from him. I and I know he's gotta push his chest out and say, Well, we need these losses to see where we are.

I reckon he he would be worried. Oh, I've got no doubt. Look, it I think there's a concern there. Look, Warren, the big thing that's gonna happen over the next month is three three more rounds to go before the finals. The one thing you can't control is injuries. And that was always the the the whole all year the the the fear for the Panthers was gonna be what happens if something goes wrong with Nathan Cleary or Isaiah Yo. Now they've lost Isaiah. You can they can overcome the loss of pretty much everyone else. Uh maybe maybe not uh not Cleary.
What caused the Broncos to ‘fall apart’ and how does it affect their ladder position?
Uh yeah, well but not Edwards either, but maybe know what I mean? But but certainly I couldn't overcome uh uh Cleary. Uh and Isaiah is I think really as good as he is and as appreciated as he is, he's still underestimated his his value to that team and what he does to that team. Uh and so they've got to find a way around that. Now, they've got the talent there to c to come up with a system or a strategy to get around the loss of Yo, and th I think they'll find that and they've got a few weeks now to to sort of get in that groove. Uh if if he doesn't come back in time, we don't know if he'll be back for the finals or not, whether there'll be some sort of late recovery from the torn petrol muscle.
