What is the core difference between visionary leadership and reactive firefighting?
Whether it's business or whether in personal life. I'm using a simple equation. Your success is in the future is defined by simple two elements. Value Which is defined by the vision, multiplied by efforts because it's not only your effort. Because if people see that value they're putting there they don't see the value, they're not putting a effort. They're just coming from.
Real life, ladies and gentlemen, you're once again welcome to the Kingdoms Podcast and Diary of the CFO. And today I've got with me a very, very special guest fighting out of Birmingham, England, by way of Russia. Welcome, Dr. Oleg Codoval.
Oh how are you, sir? How are you today? Animolas, thank you. Well, it sounds like it being ready for a fight, but actually what we do in this life? If you Well, first of all you have your own rights to choose the fight, to pick the fight. Another thing Good fighter is not who is the fastest. The best fighters are those who are controlling the space. If you're in control of this space, you could Bit down any Counterparty, you know.
Exactly.
And therefore they're mainly quiet. These guys are mainly quiet.
You know, spe speaking of fighting, right? Um In the words Conor McGregor, he says timing beats speed And precision beats power. Yeah, and uh that that speaks to to to to to what you have said, right? You know, people think of fighting as being mostly physical, but they don't realise that fighting is mental. And of course, fighting is a part of life. Life is a fight.
It is. And you need well, first of all, you need
To have that ability which we mainly lost these days because we are always in a rush, we are rushing and We don't have a time to pause. To sink. To spot the opportunity, to see the pattern. Right. Because we are rushing. It looks to me we aim to dive exhausted instead of s to die satisfied.
We keep we keep rushing even though all of us are not from Russia.
It's nothing well therefore you need to think. before you do something. And we're not very good these days. You know, we're trying to look nice, we're trying to look that we are very, very busy. At cost of what? How much we're paying for? making mistakes or wrong decisions when we are in a rush.
What's
a price we're paying for it? Huge. It's a huge price actually, if we're in a business or even in a personal life. We are rushing. Ян а вот т.ю. psychologist, you know, really elite psychologist. And what they're all claiming that on average we are holding one sort for about ten seconds. Can you make a solid decision within ten seconds? No chance.
No, no, no, no. The best decisions are not made in a rush.
Exactly. And again, so therefore, instead of making decisions, we are playing choices, right? Decision is very different to a choice. Choice is like we're not at McDonald's, you know, we're picking up some things just because we are in a rush, we're hungry, but decisions when you're going when you're getting married, you're not making choice, you're making a decision. Because you're talking about commitment, responsibility, long term effort. It's a decision. Even when you're buying a house, you're playing not
playing choice. It's a decision. It's always a decision.
And when we are rushing, we are not into this. Therefore we are losing those fights on a spot. We are losing those fights to our
Mm. Mm. That that that's actually very deep. That is very, very deep. You know, it's it's a case of if you know, you know. There there are some times when it's a a wise man is speaking, right? But if you just take it at surface level, you're not gonna you're not gonna be able to read in between the lines, right? And of course, you know, speaking of fights, I don't know. Are are you are you a fan of boxing? Did did you see the fight from yesterday?
Uh no, I I'm more into karate myself, right? And uh I never saw I never saw those you know. Sense with a fifth, sixth, seven, eighths done, you know, being in a rush. They always calm. They're always just like I wouldn't say static, but they're just like they're not slow. They're like a strong flow. Nice and strong.
