Why is caring leadership a competitive advantage over fear‑based management?
When I was able to create an environment where people felt safe and they had very clear expectations, right? They knew what the mission was, they knew what the vision was and the the values, how we're gonna treat each other. They were able to make decisions and move things forward without my input. They they acted as if I was in the room standing behind them and and they knew what the expectations were and they went and did went that extra mile to get things done and to help and and do things that that I never foresaw. I could never have thought about some of the things that we did to succeed.

Yeah, I mean, so I discovered very early on that I was a horrible leader. And so later on in life, when I looked to be promoted, knowing that I was not a good leader out of the box, I knew I had to learn how to be a good leader. And so I consumed anything and everything I could, white papers from psychology and sociology organizations, uh Harvard Business Review, uh Podcasts, videos, whatever it was, books. I just consumed everything that I could. And when I realized all the things that I had to do, it was it was mind blowing.
