I really want to be a voice for female attorneys because a lot of people try to talk you out of it when you're going into it because it is really competitive. It's really cutthroat and it is a very tough field of career, you know, to be in. But just by keeping the positivity in it, I really want to show young women that they can enter this field and really make a difference doing what they love. Veronica Townsend is a resilient, accomplished, and influential attorney and the founder of Townsend Law, LLC. She is known for her work in estate planning and real estate law and for her commitment to leadership and female empowerment. I've realized now the more that I really let my true colors shine and let people see this personality, see the dress and the fun that I like to have in the practice of law, it really does attract more clients.

What brings you to the Red Life?
So I am a attorney. Awesome. My law firm in Delaware. And I saw this awesome opportunity to really be featured showcasing other women of entrepreneurial spirit, women that have risen up in the ranks in their careers. And being an attorney means I'm an advocate for other people. So I thought it was an awesome chance to take a way to be in this platform to really showcase what women can do and really to let other young women see what you can do as an attorney.
It doesn't get more American than that.
How did Veronica build her law firm before turning 30?
Yeah. Aware and legal. Talk about, like, coming from that, like, that visual culture of the zeitgeist of what it's like to be an attorney in the original first colonies. And it's like, wow, it's epic and dark and gothic. We see it in movies. It's been glorified, romanticized. And here you are in pink. Mm-hmm. Talk about the birth of whatever we think it is and then versus what it really is day to day.
And I'm glad that you mentioned that because that's really why I love doing what I do. I feel like I try to set myself apart as an attorney being different from other attorneys. Yep. Because to your point, it's always been really historic, really cut and dry, really black and white, really intimidating. And I really try to take that out of it for the sake of my clients and just so my personality can come forth. I'm not a stuffy suit person. I mean, I wear my pink. I like to wear black.
sparkles and color and just keep that personality and the practice of wall absolutely so it's it's really important to me oh when you when you are actually sparkly and pink we're very much red here i've got my colors everyone's got their tribe everyone's got their team everyone's got their flag do you do you kind of know that you're going to attract the right clientele or are you going to unattract clients that you don't even want like what's your philosophy here of the of the of the sparkly pink
Exactly. So when I first started practicing, I really felt like I couldn't be my true self yet just because I really was trying to navigate who I was as a practitioner and a business owner. But I've realized now the more that I really let my true colors shine and let people see this personality, see the dress and the fun that I like to have in the practice of law, it really does attract more clients.
