Hello, and welcome to Scrolling with Haley. I'm Haley Karinia. Thank you so much for being here. I hope everyone had a great weekend. I sound a little congested, so I apologize for that. I spent the weekend with one of my best friends from college and her family. One of her toddlers was sick, therefore... I am sick. It is all worth it though. So apologies for the congestion.
We're gonna get through it. It's all gonna be good. I'm taking a lot of vitamin C. I'm getting my fluids in. We're gonna be good. But let's get into what we have on the show today. What is Congress up to during this partial government shutdown? Well, Lindsey Graham was hanging out with Mickey Mouse. And AOC, was she doing ketamine with her staff? We're going to get into those stories.
Plus, protesters gone wild, no kings kicked off again this past weekend, and it was as deranged as you would expect. Plus... 12 tons of Kit Kats have gone missing. How is it even possible? Chapter 2: What are lawmakers doing during the government shutdown?
It was the 11th government shutdown in history. It was also the longest. And the reason why it was so long is because Democrats wanted to extend healthcare subsidies to illegal aliens, and Republicans were not going to do that, so they didn't. The House passed a funding package to reopen the government through the end of the year, which brings us to, you know, where we're at now.
It is the new year. TSA wasn't funded in that package as part of the Democrats' efforts to shutter the Department of Homeland Security as much as they possibly can with the little power that they have. And the ongoing funding lapse at the DHS, security... That has become part of the longest partial government shutdown in U.S.
history, hitting 44 days, which brings us to today, 45 days without funding for TSA. And we've been covering this for weeks now, all the long lines, leading to then-President Trump finding a solution of sending ICE agents, Democrats' favorite, into airports for help. And despite the Democrats lying, saying that ICE agents were going to start just picking people off and shooting them.
We've seen them offer water, be line holders, help sick travelers, really awful stuff. Well, in light of all of this, TMZ called on their followers to be on the lookout for any members of Congress who may be on vacation in these desperate times. So this is what they posted out to their followers. Watch.

Chapter 3: How did 12 tons of KitKats go missing?
You know, I go back and forth on this because I think that everyone deserves a vacation, but I also hate people in government. Like I hate people who, you know, take all of our money and all this stuff. And I just think that this is ridiculous. So in this case, I am all for this. I am all for exposing what these people are doing, where they're going, where they're off to.
And TMZ caught Lindsey Graham at Disney. So they posted this. There's a photo of the senator and they caught him. He's sitting at like a back table and he's having breakfast. What it seems he's pouring some coffee with a woman. I don't know who that is, but they TMZ reached out after snapping this photo or, you know, someone sent it to TMZ.
And someone got a statement from Senator Graham's staff. And they said the Senator had breakfast at Chef Mickey's at the contemporary resort at Disney World. You get more than a meal there. Disney characters go around to all the tables for a little chit chat. We're told Lindsay talked to the staff who tucked him away at a back table.
He went to the buffet line, much shorter than the TSA lines around the country, grabbed some grub and chowed down. My thing is, why is a childless adult at Disney. Why? Why is a childless adult at Disney? And conservatives, we don't like Disney, okay?
And I'm not all for boycotts and stuff, but all the sexualized stuff going on, all this trans lunacy being put, injected into our content for children. Why? Why go to Disney World? Why are you... I would just feel very out of place as an adult with no children if I'm at Disney with no children. It's not like he was there with, you know, a nephew or something like that. There's just...
There's just no reason for it. So anyway, I said before that this was Graham's statement or Graham's staff statements to TMZ. This is actually the statement. I misspoke there. So Graham tells TMZ, I was invited to a meeting in South Florida on Friday with Trump official Steve Witkoff to talk about the possibility of normalization between Saudi Arabia and Israel.
I went to Orlando to meet friends after. I'm already back in South Carolina. Again, there's nothing wrong with visiting friends in Orlando, but is there nowhere else to meet? There's no other restaurant. There's no other bar. There's no other meeting place. You have to meet at Disney. I think that's weird. I think Disney adults are weird. And I'm not saying that Senator Graham is a Disney adult.
I don't know. But I just think it's strange. Call me crazy. People in the chat agree with me. Thank you. Someone in the chat says, I like Disney. Grew up with it. Listen, I grew up with Disney too. And I liked the old Disney. I liked the Disney of the 90s where it was boy meets girl. They fall in love. And there's no trans stuff mixed in. I like that. I don't want my characters to be non-binary.
So whenever I have kids one day, I'm going to have to be showing them the stuff from the 90s because at least you know that it's kosher. And I was talking to my friend this weekend because she has kids. And she said, we actually show our son Disney stuff from the 90s and early 2000s because it's less stimulating.

Chapter 4: How does the episode address hypocrisy among lawmakers?
Half the country voted for her. No one was voted for her to be the nominee. Yes, they did. Isn't that what, like, authoritarian? You're going down the wrong road right now with me. I wouldn't go any further. What does that mean? I'm not going to talk to you anymore. That's what it means. I just think it's ironic that no one voted for her to be the nominee.

And it's when they become challenged in their viewpoints, they don't want to talk anymore. And he was so not willing to hear another point of view.
Caitlin Bennett was the one behind that Man on the Street interview, and she does great work. And she's asking, you know, the hypocrisy, of course, between No Kings and Kamala Harris being installed. And she's pointing out the fact that Kamala Harris did not receive any votes before the presidential election. But he didn't want to hear that part.
He's just thinking, well, of course, I voted for her, so she got votes. That's not what she was saying. Kamala Harris, we got to get before the presidential election. We're trying to get to the point, like, how did Kamala even get there? Because that's where the hypocrisy lies. And he doesn't want to hear it. And it's the truth that Kamala Harris did not receive one vote. Not when she was in.
She dropped out of the race in 2020 before she even received a vote. She was polling close to negatives. Failure of a candidate. And then she was installed. She was chosen as the vice president by Joe Biden because she was black and she was a woman and Jamaican and whatever else. She checked a box and then she was installed as the candidate. No one voted for her.
They completely bypassed the democratic process. And then these are the people, this is why I don't buy it when they say democracy is at stake and we're so concerned about democracy and our constitutional republic and all this stuff. They don't know what they're talking about. They simply do not know what they're talking about.

Chapter 5: Why is AOC facing a complaint over campaign funds?
You know, they like him deep down. They want to dress as him. Trump is so iconic, you know, like he has such an iconic look that they can dress up as him. town hall meeting or something, and he's in full latex. Like, why are you wearing this? It's very bizarre. The LGBTQ community loves latex. So she's in her wheelchair. It's gonna pop.

She's wearing all this latex, and she's got a Donald Trump impersonator crawling on the floor behind her. And I don't know who this woman is, but who is she supposed to be? I have no idea. Just like a lady with black hair. I don't know. And this is supposedly performance art. And this is a, I kid you not, Georgia State University art instructor. Her name is Jessica Blinkhorn.
And she was awarded a 2024 Guggenheim Fellowship for a project that, quote, depicts individuals with physical disabilities in hyper-sexualized poses and situations. And who asked for that? Who asked for that? I don't wanna, this is, the left is obsessed with sex in such a weird way where they wanna know, and sex is not supposed to be public. You're not supposed to make your desires public.
You're not supposed to make any of this public. Keep it at home. Keep it behind closed doors. So long as you are doing whatever you're doing with consenting adults, have at it. But it is none of my business. It's none of anyone's business. I hate that it is out in the open like this. It is bizarre. It is deranged. It is disgusting.
And of course, when this woman is so overweight, like it's so, you see it and it's so unhealthy and disturbing to watch, especially in latex. And she apparently cares about depicting people with disabilities as sexual beings. I don't care what disabled people are doing in their bedrooms. I don't care what able-bodied people are doing in their bedrooms. I don't care. I don't want to see it.
It's disgusting. And this is a professor, an art professor. She's getting paid. She's a fellow. She's getting paid at Georgia State University to talk about this stuff with paying students. Ugh! This is why art, you should not study art in college. Go to trade school. Do something with your life that's meaningful. Do not study this crap in college. Art is not what it used to be.
