Chapter 2: What impact does Cade Cunningham's return have on the Pistons?
First healthy scratch of his career. You know, is he out of the lineup here for potential postseason matchups? With Quinn Snyder sort of more going with Kispert instead of resushing. It's not great. Yeah, I think it's all matchups and who's playing well. And they go to Kaminga playing well. Well, yeah, that's true. Or size-wise, Amoge playing a ton.
In this case, when you're playing against Mobley and Allen. So there's that part. There's two parts of it, you're right. It was like, let's go with CJ, obviously the vet, to help us win these games. And you're right, the Kaminga part, his minutes dwindled when Kaminga was suddenly back to playing and healthy. It's like, okay, he's giving us more.
So we'll go with him, which is so ironic because Kaminga was getting DMP CDs when he was with the Warriors. Now he comes to Atlanta, now it's resuscitate getting one. Yeah, and Kaminga was great. You mentioned Sam Merrill earlier.
There was the possession where he just went directly at Sam Merrill, and Sam Merrill tried to big chest him as much as possible, but Kaminga was bigger and stronger and played that old Kaminga role that the Warriors hated. Oh, this guy's going to take a mid-range shot, but he... He pushed Sam Merrill as much as he could underneath the bucket to score. So he was playing his best.
So that hurts Richa. Richa has not had long stretches of great play in his career period. So when he's going to be out there in the playoffs, it's going to be catch and shoot. It's going to be some slashes. But Kamingo played him and is outplaying him in general. That's could be could change, but also the size thing here with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
So it's a matchups thing, but good for Snyder to go with who he needs to go with.

As of Thursday morning, when you click on Toby O'Conney's name in the box score, it resolves to the general league roster page. So I went and checked this and... Yeah. The league roster page.
He has no actual bio page, let alone a headshot, which a lot of guys on the Grizzlies recently have no headshot because they're like, who the hell is this guy? Yeah. But this is even a new level. Here's the craziest part. This guy's played four games already for Memphis. Oh, that's shocking. That was news to me. Yeah.
Not that I'm keeping my eye on the Grizzlies all that closely here recently, but Toby O'Conney, he's played four games. No. Who is this guy? You know, I'm one of those guys that say not every team is tanking. Grizzlies, obviously, are tanking. The Utah Jazz, obviously, are tanking. You're saying those names.
I went through so many names of teams that have tanked over the last several years because of that Anthony Slater article on ESPN going way deeper into the tanking and seeing some names like OKC tanking back in the day. My fellow Greek. Georgios Kaliadzakis, Yorios Kaliadzakis, who came to the NBA and had the plus minuses that Anthony Slater was dropping for these guys who were part of tanks.
Like Kaliadzakis was a minus 69 in two games or something like that. But there was even some worse. Yeah, not nice. But there was even some worse plus minuses. Either way. The Thunder did well to tank. It all worked out for them. We'll see if it works out for the Jazz slash Grizzlies, who are definitely tanking. Nobody's playing for them. It's sort of wild.
Again, I'm seeing names I've never even heard of, and I'm like, he's played a couple games, let alone just one game. That's surprising. Yeah. The Grizzlies young guys who they're trying to get to play are playing in Cedric Howard and Gigi Jackson and those guys. But when you go deep down the roster, I'm not familiar with that guy's game or name.

Chapter 4: What were the highlights of Chet Holmgren's performance against the Clippers?
It did start today. I think this is even better.

I agree. Okay, good. Chet Holmgren got Woboy. Produced game-high 30 points, 14 boards in that win. 10 of 13 from the field, 3 of 4 from deep, 7 of 10 at the line, 5 assists, game-high 4 blocks. Two steals. Did it all in 31 minutes and had Tass and I wondering, is this Chet Holmgren's best game in the NBA? At least this season, I think. But maybe overall, it was a good one.
It was a really good game from him. Only six points in the second half. Again, didn't play a lot as they blew them out. Yeah, see, he's peaking at the right time. Indeed, indeed. Here we go. Three nights of regular season basketball left. You know that? Tonight, six games on, I want to say. We'll be back with the Drop podcast tomorrow. Then there's 15 games on Friday night.
Then there's no games on Saturday. Then there's 15 games on Sunday. This is one of the weirder schedules we're going to have all year. We'll be back on Monday to break it all down, and TK will be back in studio with us. But only three nights of regular season basketball left, and then we got the play-in tournament next week, and then obviously the playoffs start next weekend. Are you ready?
I mean, I like the scheduling. I like what Adam Silver did here to put a little significance on the end of the regular season, those 15 games on Sunday. Makes it important. Right. And because, well, for the most part, the way the start times, they try and match up, you know, obviously West Coast teams and East Coast teams and all that.
Like, so you can't be doing too much scoreboard watching if you're in said game, right? I think that they're trying to prevent that as much as possible. Like, hey, if you got to win to help your seating or to help get into the playoffs or whatever, just go win, baby. Like... don't worry too much about what's going on in the other games. Right. So it should be fun.
I mean, we're going to have, I assume we're gonna have a lot still up in the air come Sunday. There's going to be a few seedings in the play-in or, or maybe even the actual playoff race. Yeah, they've done well. The final Sunday is an important day. I start to think, is this, uh, have, does that have more significance than the last day of the NFL season? Because everything is compared to the NFL.

Here in America, I'm sure by Adam Silver, he's factoring. He's looking at all the schedules around the world. How do we make the last day better? And I think this one is very important. I think it may be more important. It's a little more. I understand people already know, hey, we've got these teams in the playoffs. But as you said, there's still there's matchups to be decided.
