Chapter 2: What happened on the final day of the NBA regular season?
They also may have decided, you know what? It works two ways for us to get to the five seat if we win. They don't necessarily care about that because the Orlando Magic, all they have to do is beat the C team of the Boston Celtics. And we'll also get the 5C. Yeah, it seemed that way.
Easy! Because, just for those that don't know, we would have, in theory, maybe had a three-way tie between the Hawks, the Raptors, and the Magic. And in that scenario... the Hawks would get the five seed because they are the division leaders of the Southeast.
Yeah, and they spanked the Magic when they played them this year, so they would win the seed over them, and they'd jump up to five. So they thought, you know, Orlando playing against the Boston team, not playing against Tatum, Jalen Brown... No. No, Derek White. No, Peyton Burchard.
They're top eight guys.
Yeah, lots of guys. And then Boston comes out and gives it to them. What a fun game that was to see three guys get their career high in that game. And Shireman, Luka Garza, and Ron Harper Jr. Those three guys combined to score 84 points. A 30-27-27. So they win, and the Hawks are fine playing the Knicks. And now, I know it is...
It's kind of a coin toss for the Hawks and who they would have played better. I know the Cavs or the Knicks. But at the same time, I think you'd rather play the Cavs. And I think the Raptors got to be super excited to be going in game one. Yeah, Raptors definitely did not want to play the New York Knicks who dominate them.
They haven't beaten them in like 13 games or something. The Knicks own the Raps. Bit more of a chance maybe against the Cavs.
So yeah, we'll get into the preview of Hawks-Knicks. Either way. That was my biggest takeaway, just seating-wise.
Yeah, that was kind of surprising, I thought, because I don't know. I just think it's better to be in the 4-5.

Chapter 3: How do the playoff matchups look for the 2026 NBA playoffs?
We talked about him. 37-7. Looked insane. He was wearing a black undershirt and black leggings with white jerseys. He looked like he had to go rob a bank afterwards.
Chapter 4: What are the details of the Play-In Tournament games?
Yohan Berenger, 24-13 and seven blocks. Buddy Heald hadn't played double-digit minutes since being traded to the Hawks. He went for 31 points and seven threes in their big-time loss. Joe Ingles played 32 minutes. 15 points and 10 assists.
Yeah. It seems like there's a Mickey Mouse March happening, but then it really picks up a notch on the last day.
Asinine April. Asinine April. Clint Capella hit his first career three-pointer. It went bonkers. Yeah, that was awesome.
739 games for that guy.
Does DeAndre Ayton have a three-pointer in his career? He has to.
He's always shooting those half-court shots.
Yeah.
uh underhanded for warm-ups so you know he's more comfortable out there but yeah if you're in the nba you're one of the best basketball players on earth but unfortunately there's a lot more guys who are in the nba who are ahead of these guys but they're like we'll freaking dust off joe ingles that's unbelievable to me that he had a double double in an nba game in 2026 it's wild to go back to the magic though man what a perfect uh summation of their season right just the
just needed to win to guarantee a home play-in game, too. I mean, we sort of glossed over that a little bit. Maybe had a chance to get into the actual playoffs, needed some help. But at the very least, they win that game against Boston. They at least have a home play-in game. And two, really, chances to then get in But now they're on the road and have to go to Philadelphia in the 8-7 matchup.
