Jack had just been hired and uh Jack Michaels And you know, we we came out here, the Oiders had Taylor Hall, the number one overall pick. Ebbington was the bell of the ball with that draft that year. Uh they had Magnus Piarby, the tenth overall pick in two thousand nine. And then they had Jordan Everley here, uh, you know, the twenty second overall overall pick in oh eight. And I and I if you ever wondered how many oil fan Outers fans were out there in oil country, just come to this event 'cause there's a lot of Outers fans on a continuous basis.

Uh twenty you know, I remember twenty fifteen. Conor McDavid, Leon Dreisidel and Darnell Nurse all suited up and there was a memorable fight in the game against Calgary with Rasmus Anderson and Nurse. Remember Hunter Smith going after uh Leon Dreisidel after big dude. And then Dreysidle went in and scored on a penalty shot. And then in early in the preseason that year, Smith tried to go at Nurse in response and Nurse broke his face and we never really heard much of Hunter Smith again.
