It is presented by Legacy Heating and Cooling. Home and no payments and no interest for one year. And that's a bill of Legacy, Legacy Heating and Cooling. Bobby and Steve and the team at Legacy, and they have been supporting the likes of John Shannon as guest appearances for a number of years. But I put out today a little over about an hour ago, actually less than an hour ago,
Now that the KHL playoffs are over and the Edmonton Oilers prospect, Maxime Berejkin, is a two-time Gagarin Cup champion with Yaroslav Locomotive. That is the KHL champion. Don't be surprised if the Edmonton Oilers sign the 6'4", 212-pound winger. He is a rep by Dan Milstein.
Now, Berejkin had a big year a year ago, struggled a bit to finish, had roughly the same amount of assists this past year, had a little bit better run in the playoffs.

Chapter 2: Who are the featured guests on today's show?
He is a A bigger winger probably projects as a third liner. Some might say a fourth liner. A high end might be a second liner. But I think there's a good chance we're going to see him in Edmonton Oilers training camp in the fall. Let's do this. We're going to go into the Oilers Now Audio Vault for our friends at Direct Workwear.
The Oilers Now Audio Vault is brought to you by Direct Workwear. In these tight budget times, Direct Workwear is the superhero your wallet deserves. Cute selection, low prices at Direct Workwear.
So the Edmonton Oilers had pro scouting meetings and You know, we're in the holding pattern on Bruce Cassidy, who has not been given permission. Teams have not been given permission from the Vegas Golden Knights to interview him.
Cassidy, it is interesting if you listen to the John Shannon interview on Wednesday, he seemed to think that there was going to come a point where Cassidy was going to be allowed to interview for various jobs. I think we'd be naive to believe that in the meantime and in between time, the Oilers haven't maybe conducted an interview or two with some other potential candidates.
Here is Louis DeBrus from NHL Hockey and Rogers from yesterday's show on Oilers coaching.
Yeah, listen, the three big ones, Cassidy, Labia, Leperuby, we've heard it all. Those are the three right now. I know you said it many times in the last couple weeks. You said it when you and I were on last Thursday. Most likely, the Oilers are looking for a veteran coach that has won before.
All three of those guys meet that criteria as far as being around for a long time and have won the Stanley Cup. You know what? They're all available. So I think there's multiple teams in the running for each of those coaches. I think there's multiple teams, if not more, and could be more at the end of this regular season or this playoff season, looking to fill a void in the coaching department.
And those three are the big three because of their history, because of what they've done. So I understand that. But I think it should be... you know, a deep dive into what you're looking for, a deep dive into the personality, the system you want to bring in for this team. It's all, all the talk has been about defense, right?
So, you know, when you look at these three coaches, Laviolette, Cassidy, and Berube, they've all done it in a defensive manner in their history of their coaching with teams that have won the Stanley Cup. But on the flip side of that, you're dealing with a team here at Edmonton that has a the most dynamic offensive duo in the league.

Chapter 3: What updates are there on Edmonton Oilers' prospects?
Well, I mean, I think for me in a perfect world, their core is McDavid, Dreisaitl, Bouchard. That's their top trio. Support from players like Nugent Hopkins and Hyman. I think we'd work on the precipice of adding Vasily Petkozhin to part of that based on, you know, like his size and what he's brought. And then on defense, you know, you have Darnell Nurse. You have Matthias Ekholm.
I think those guys are all part of the core. You may see a little bit of movement there during the course of the off season. Don't forget to Jake, uh, woman, Bob, I have a new drinking game. Every time Bob says power broker, I don't think I really say, um, power broker that often. I will tell you that, uh, I was never the power broker in my own household. Bob, this text title is 780.
How confident are you out of 10 that Vegas will give the Oilers permission to interview Bruce Cassidy? I would say based on John Shannon's comments, and John's always had good sources in the NHL, I would say 8 out of 10 that the Oilers would end up in a situation where they'd be able to interview Bruce Cassidy. Uh, Bob good leaders have to play defense as well. Uh, they can't just play offense.
This trickles down to everybody else. And I think, well, that's going to be part of the impetus forever. Who the new head coach is coming in. Okay. And again, I have basically a delineation of two guys. So I think the general perception and consensus is that Bruce Cassidy is the number one candidate for the job out there. I think a lot of people think he is the best coach.
And as I mentioned on yesterday's edition of Oilers Now, I see Peter Laviolette in the two-hole as we speak. Again, you can text us at 780-451-8800 on the Ashley Fine Floors text line. Yes, we've got lots coming in here. And part of the problem is how they have changed. Yeah, how they've changed things a bit here.
with our uh text message and how much space it takes up in the response bob you think the orders haven't talked to bruce cassie yes i think the orders have not at this point spoken to bruce cassidy because i do not believe to the stage that they've been given the right to speak to bruce cassidy and they are not going to sit there and tamper so again 780-451-8800 tell you what we're going to do here because we're having problems getting hold of brian
Um, let's go into NHL today. We've got Jeff Walker back at the eight 80 Chad studios and NHL today is presented by elite promotional marketing, your local branded merchandise specialist head to elite promo marketing.com. Hello, Jeff. How are you doing?
I'm doing fine. How are you, sir? Good. Good, good. Yeah, so around the NHL, NHL today, Bob, there is, of course, just the one game in the NHL playoffs as it is conference finals time. Golden Knights and Avalanche will get underway just after six. The Knights have a one game to nothing lead there.
Both teams are going to be without a key player tonight, though, Bob, as Mark Stone is going to be out for Vegas and Cale McCarr is not going to dress for Colorado.
