Good afternoon, everybody. It's Bryn Griffiths sitting in for Bob Soffer. Just before we get to Curt Hill, I want to pass along some breaking news. Just chatting with Randy Kilburn out of the newsroom. And this is tough news for hockey fans because I'm just being... We'd heard about this this afternoon. Just waiting to get confirmation. We now have it. That Glenn Hall has passed away at the age of 94. Mr. Goley, what a wonderful guy he was.

Passed away peacefully this afternoon at Stony Plain. And... I've just got to have a few minutes to kind of gather my thoughts. I've got some great Glenn Hall stories I'm going to get to as fast as I possibly can. But like I said, he obviously played for the Detroit Red Wings. Everybody remembers his career with the Chicago Blackhawks and the St. Louis Blues. Hasn't been in good health for the last little while, but just wanted to pass it along because now we have confirmation that Glenn Hall has passed away at the age of 94. This is a crazy, crazy time with the WHL trade deadline coming up tomorrow at 6 p.m. That's our time. Trades, obviously, that are submitted to the league office before the deadline. It takes a little while to get processed just the way it is in the NHL, so we can have a few more announcements after 6 o'clock. Kurt is joining us right now. Kurt, how are you doing? Hey, Bryn, doing well. How are you doing? Fine, thank you. Okay, so let's get the ground rules here. If your phone rings, you're just going to hang up on me, right? Yeah, I'll send them the voicemail here just for you tonight, Brad. Thank you. I appreciate that. All right, let's talk about how busy you've been so far. Where do you want to dig in? Do you want to talk about maybe which is the biggest?
I know they're all big for you, but is there one trade more than any other that really you think has improved your team dramatically, even though you're having a great season anyway?
Well, you know, I think they're all going to be integral parts, so I think wherever you want to start, I'm happy with it.
Okay, well, let's talk about the fact that you traded one of your veteran defensemen and Canucks draft pick Parker Alcos to Kelowna. Let's talk about the fact that you pick up a first-round pick, obviously, and some other picks. Tell us a little bit about that one.
Yeah, I think it was just a corresponding move with obviously us making the acquisition of Zemlack and Carter Sutherland. You know, we just had too many D. And, you know, Parker was one of our proudest stories here with the organization in the sense of he's a guy we listed and ended up getting drafted in the NHL. So from the standpoint of what our coaches did to develop them and the work that he put in here, it was fantastic. And, you know, unfortunately, it's one of those things where we just felt like the player type that Parker was, you know, maybe we just had a little bit too much of that here and wanted to bring in a little bit of a different look and some guys that can maybe create a little bit more offense from the blue line and play a little bit of harder minutes and a harder game if we get into a tough playoff series.
So we ended up moving them out and recouped a couple draft picks and then the obviously WHL prospect draft and then the first round pick you speak of is in the CHL import draft. And that was an important pick for us to get in the sense that all three of our imports will We'll be leaving next year, I do believe. So when you have to pick three imports in the draft in three rounds, that's pretty tough. When you start talking about the third round and maybe picking, you know, 160th in the draft, it's pretty tough to find a player.
