Absolutely it was. They came out full of P&V, I guess is the expression Bob and I love to use a lot, especially on the radio. It's just kind of pushing the edge a bit. But nonetheless, came out and the crowd was into it. The Oilers were into it. And Vegas were kind of into it. And then they seemed to get a little discouraged. But I'm with you. The Oilers played very, very well last night. What did you notice? What was so special about the effort? Because they really did shut down Vegas by the time they got to the third period.

You know what? I like the continuation of a lot of players on Edmonton that maybe didn't have the regular seasons that they wanted to, including some injuries. New guys that jumped back in. The contributions from players not named Dreisaitl and McDavid were really strong. And even Kasperi Kapanen, I thought he came in and gave them some wonderful energy and speed and a little bit different look. Good to see Trent Frederick kind of drop the gloves and mix it up a little bit. Good to see Troy Stetcher contribute the way he did. That was a different look for them.

And, of course, Stuart Skinner, I thought he played terrific. It's been a while since he's felt great about his game. Should feel really good about that one. All in all, you know, I thought it was a do-or-die situation for Vegas. We saw some flashes of it. But at the end of the night, they looked discouraged and defeated, to be honest with you.
