Stan, just like we all thought during all the trials and tribulations of this season, here we are with three games left and the Edmonton Hunters control their own destiny to potentially win the division.
Certainly well poised to climb a playoff spot. Give me your assessment on the year to date.
It's been an up and down year and it's a little different to be in this spot with three games left considering we haven't dominated the season but you know this is where we are and I think you have to try to look at things from a positive lens and I think it's a great opportunity for us. We've got two out of three games at home. Close out the road trip here in Los Angeles and opportunity to control our own destiny here as far as winning the division. So, you know, at the end of the day, the playoffs seedings don't matter too much because you have to win on the road if you're going to win in the playoffs. And we've shown we can do that in the past. But, you know, at this point, we're close enough.
Let's try to make a push and get the division title.
We'd be remiss without discussing the fact that you've done a lot of this without some pretty good players. You don't have Leon Dreisaitl for the final 14 games of the regular season. The team is 7-3-1 without Leon. And you factor in Zach Hyman. Last night against San Jose, there were a couple other injuries. I don't know if you have any information. But just if you can maybe provide us with a bit of a sense of where we're at right now with Leon and Zach Hyman. And then also... with Connor Ingram and Jason Dickinson.
Yeah, the injuries last night, I don't have an update today. I don't think either one of them were serious, at least if they were, I think I probably would have heard that by now. So I think it's probably more of a minor thing for both guys. As far as Leon goes, I think we'll get a better feel for where he's at when he's skating with our team, which hopefully will be when we get back to Edmonton over the early next week. But he's progressing well, like I said from the beginning. There's nothing that has changed from our original prognosis. We expect him back and begin the playoffs. You know, which day that will be, I think we'll get a better idea of that next week when we see him. But he is improving.
He hasn't had any setbacks. And now it's just a matter of getting him ramped up. And then Zach Hyman, he's going to be fine for the playoffs as well. I think his was probably a little bit more of a maintenance issue, but it was something that was bothering him. And we felt we wanted to do what we could to give him the best chance of being close to healthy, feeling great. for the playoffs, so that was why we had to miss these games. But, you know, he's ready to go, and I expect no issues with Zach.

He's plus 23 on a team that's 27th in the league in save percentage.
