Hi, I'm doing great. Thanks. Good. Two topics today that I'm asking the listeners about. Number one, Calgary and Edmonton partnering up and getting the World Cup of Hockey. Calgary gets the round robin in their city. Edmonton gets the semifinal and the final of the World Cup of Hockey in 2028. And then the Oilers' response last night, and it didn't stop all game long. They kept on going after Ozzie Weisblatt. So we'll start with you. Could you envision back when you were coaching the team in 2003, 2004, and the Oilers were playing with about a $30 million salary cap, and Dow's was like at like 65%. You were taking a pocket knife to a gunfight. Could you have ever envisioned then that Edmonton would have a brand-new building, and that building would play host to the second-biggest hockey event on the planet, the World Cup of Hockey, Mac T?
Well, that's such exciting news, that hockey, as we saw in the Four Nations, and the World Cup will be another iteration that will even be likely better. But, yeah, amazing news. developments in downtown Edmonton, largely on the shoulders of Daryl Cates and the Cates group. But the other thing about it is that Edmonton always supremely supports these events. And I think It's going to be an unbelievable experience for our fans.
Yeah, it is crazy, though, Mac T. You know what it was like at times. And it wasn't fun in, like, 2010, 11, 11, 12, when the team was rebuilding and trying to get an arena deal done. But just put this in perspective, Craig. This August... We have the Holinka Gretzky, which is like a U18 tournament, which is a huge tournament for scouting purposes and that sort of thing. Then in this December and January of 26-27, Red Deer is a partner of Edmonton's as Edmonton hosts the World Junior Championship. And then in February of 28, Calgary, with their new building, gets the round robin, and Edmonton gets the semifinal and final. Oh, by the way, the Oilers have gone on the Stanley Cup final the last two years and have been the top revenue team in the NHL.
It's a far cry from when, you know, and thankfully Cal Nichols and the group of the Edmonton investors group stepped up and kept the team here. But who could have envisioned this like 20 years ago? You know what I'm saying?
Well, it's an amazing facility, Rogers. It's just, I mean, as you mentioned, it's one of the highest revenue producing facilities in all of hockey, maybe the highest.
