Have you had a chance to see Ryan Strom on the show? I have. He thinks the world of you. You better think the world of him. I'm going to pass the phone to him in two seconds.
I think he is one of the best people. He, Matt Hendricks, would be another guy. Troy Stetcher that I have met over the years. Ryan knows his stuff. And all I can think of is I used to have this conversation with Joffrey Lupo, you know, If you ever wanted to do TV, Joff, you'd be really good at it. And I'm not surprised that Ryan, I've watched him a lot, and it's rock solid to say the least. He's always a good talker, but there was always depth to what he said. He didn't give you just the straight stock answer, and I'm not surprised you guys have deployed his services. And I'm also not surprised.
Don't tell him all that. His head's going to be so big he'll never get through the show tonight. I thought right away of you guys, and I thought about how upset you would be. And honestly, it's just one of those years where it's a really deep hole. And I don't mean just because Ryan's here, but his teammate Adam Fox. The year he won it, I thought it was a weaker pool of defensemen. But this year, Bouchard's not on there.

Quinn Hughes is not on there. Jake Sanderson, Charlie McAvoy. What's the guy in Detroit? Sider. Yeah, Moritz Sider. Moritz Sider. I mean, there's a lot of great defense, but certainly Bouchard had a great year.
And by the way, just so you know, Bouchard got absolutely snot-bubbled in Game 1 of that series against Anaheim. He played through it. He was not at 100%. And same thing last year. We finally got reported after the final. He was touch-and-go to play a couple of games against the Panthers. He's way tougher than people think, Kevin.
I love how you guys all have his back. I'm sure he appreciates that. He's definitely a great defenseman, so he'll be in the running again next year.
