Hello, Jerry. How are you doing? I'm good, Bob. How are you? Good. Interesting day today. It's been an interesting last 10 days. And, of course, look, you've always got your finger and pulse on all things the NHL. The NHL with a statement today involving its investigation of Mike Babcock. The league has completed its review of Mike Babcock's tenure in Columbus and of... certain alleged conduct associated therewith. And our investigation has concluded that even in a light least favorable to Mr. Babcock, there's no current basis to restrict his employment in the league. You are a prominent agent in the business with a lot of really good players around the league. Dan Milstein spoke yesterday on Puckpedia.
What are your thoughts on Mike Babcock as a coach?
Well, actually, I've known Mike for probably 20, close to 30 years almost, and watched him coach his whole career. He started out in Spokane when I was in Tri-Cities when we were kids, basically. So I really like Mike. I think he's a very good coach. I'm not surprised of everything I heard, what happened. I'm not surprised that he got cleared. I wasn't sure if there was something we were all missing, but it sounds like the investigation went fairly quickly. So good for Mike.

Would you, and you do have a couple Oilers players. You represent Matt Savoy. You represent Colton Dock. Would you have any hesitation with Babcock being the head coach of the Oilers with your players?
I have zero hesitation. I think Mike's a really smart guy. I'm sure he's learned some things over the last few years like we all have. I think we all make mistakes. I don't know anyone in this business that doesn't make mistakes. I know he communicates. I know he's smart. I know he's intense. I think any team that hires him would be getting a very good coach.
Speaking of communication, to your knowledge, because there is a perception out there, okay, well, and I found this a little bit ironic, but we know that the Edmonton Oilers, Conor McDavid and Leon Drysaddle and Zach Hyman certainly had an opportunity. It's been now reported that they met with Mike Babcock. Usually, your top-end guys often speak for the players. Did some of those guys speak to your players? respective players did they communicate uh you know to say colton and matt savoy how they felt about uh about mike babcock and why uh they felt mike was a good coach for the orders
Well, I think so. I haven't really talked to them about what they've spoken with other players, but I have spoken to them about Mike and what I know. And, you know, like I said, I think he's, you know, I think he certainly deserves a shot at this. And I think that he's an undervalued asset, frankly. I think what he's gone through, you know, I think he's going to come back smarter and wiser. And like I said, he's a communicator. If there's one thing across the board over all these years, if there's one thing I've heard about coaches is they don't communicate. They don't talk to players. And one thing about Mike is he'll talk to everybody.
