But it really did happen out of necessity because there just isn't enough available in the UFA market this year, and even less now. It's still not official, but Alex Tuck going to sign and trade to Washington should be made official the next hour or two. And Darren Radish, you know, last Friday said, Going to Toronto, those were the two big names on the thin UFA market, and now they're both not even going to be there.
All right. Well, look, this show is called Orders Now. In the end, no surprise that Edmonton ended up hiring Mike Babcock and DJ Smith. We just had the Orders, two high-profile UFAs, both re-signed in five-year extensions as the Orders got the AAV down, so... Rumors of, and again, they were just rumors, but there was a suggestion, oh, agents are saying, oh, they're not going to be able, you know, Babcock, that's not going to help Edmonton. They just signed their two most important UFAs, and those were the ones. So there's that. We'll see how it goes. But give me, you know, I know you probably saw snippets of Babcock's presser yesterday. I will tell you, Pierre, I think he warmed up a bit in the one-on-one that I did with him because we actually talked about some hockey stuff.

Not really. I mean, listen, I think he's someone that's going to try and, And how would I put this? You know, try and adapt to the modern game in terms of how he deals with players. But that only goes so far. He is who he is. I mean, his personality is his personality. And, you know, one of the reasons why, you know, I think Connor McDavid and the leadership group wanted him to come and coach is to hold everyone to a, to a high standard. So, you know, listen, I had a chance to sit down with Jeff Jackson yesterday at the Board of Governors, and we talked about this hire, and I thought Jeff was really eloquent in how he explained the due diligence that they felt they did and how many people they talked to.
