Well, hopefully this hour's been entertaining. We opened up with Chris Pronger. Then we went to Gary Bettman, and now we have you, Wayne. So by the way, it was very nice to see you last night. Thank you for the time that you uh shared with us. Uh so you're working the series here for TNT in in the uh building in a place that uh is is got a unique connection to you, and you have a neak a unique uh connection to specifically to Daryl Cates. And we talked a bit about this with Gary uh Bettman. But you just kinda marvel at Rogers Place and what's become of Ice District and again the city of Edmonton, given some of the trials and tribulations they had after, you know, you got moved to to to Southern California.
I mean the orders are a vibrant, healthy, frankly booming NHL organization, Wayne.
Well, we always knew it was a great sports city. Uh that's that's a given. We knew it was a great hockey city. Obviously the balance of the league was imperative and The commissioner and uh his group sat down and obviously the salary cap has helped places like Edmonton and Ottawa and Calgary and Pittsburgh even.
How has Rogers Place and Edmonton’s Ice District reshaped the city’s hockey culture?
So He deserves a lot of credit and then the Kate family for stepping in all those years when it was tough slugging. uh to have the foresight to hang in there not only to hang in there But to build such a beautiful facility that um the people of Edmonton can marvel at. It's something special and unique, whether you're in the building or outside the building. Uh it really has a uh vibrant attitude and atmosphere uh You know, I don't know if there's any other arena in the league that has that kind of atmosphere both inside and outside. It's pretty special. So yeah, you know, everybody deserves a lot of credit and as franchise is gonna be here for a long time.
We're joined by Wayne Gretzky on orders now, Bob Stoffer with you. Wayne, you got your personal connection uh with Keith Gretzky, who's uh uh an assistant GM with a hockey team. You also uh do the work with TNT. I gotta first of all just ask you, how much do you enjoy doing some of the uh television and media stuff that you do?
You know what, we've been having a ball, uh Liam, our uh quarterback does an incredible job and You know, working with Anson and and uh Working with Obviously Biz and Henrik, uh but more importantly the crew behind the scenes, you know, the directors and the makeup people and even the security group that travels with us. They're just really incredible people and You know, part of that is just The fact that they've done it for so many years with the NBA guys and Charles and Shaq and those guys did such an incredible job but they created an atmosphere around everyone that everyone feels part of it. Um You know, not just the talent on on on the stage but Everybody feels like a group, like a team. And then on top of that, Kenny Albert and Eddie O and Bluech and Panger.

Helping people understand What goes on during those games? You know, we've still got a lot of new hockey fans in places like Florida and Nevada and Texas and You know, they they do such a great job of explaining the games themselves and So yeah, we're very proud of our group and uh they're a great group to work with.
Now, uh what's this about Biz getting gout? Like I thought I was one of the few broadcasters in the league that regularly dealt with gout.
