What is the purpose of this bonus Green Scene episode and which upcoming fixtures are being previewed?

There's been difficulties between between Russell and Gregor Townsend going back a little while. Catastrophic news for Scotland. I worked with Gregor since twenty twelve, he was a Glasgow coach then, so fourteen years you're obviously gonna have a one to however however many bust ups it is. I think the f with the way that Finn has dealt with that is to his credit. He doesn't bear grudges, it's just it's been that's gone, move on to the next one. I'm Finn Russell and this is in our drive.

Alright, how's it going? We are back for another episode of the Green Scene, our second one of the week, and our third, if you did tune in for the members edition, and you can go check that out if you want. Get your questions in because we'll be coming back to those over the next couple of weeks. But the reason for this bonus episode, and you've got myself here, you've got David Wilson beside me. We're gonna have Ben Simes jumping on in just a moment because he was over at Hamer Halgramson's press conference where he made the announcement for the squad that we're gonna have for the next couple of games. You've got four games coming up. We've got one against Kosovo, two against Israel of course, and then one against Austria in Dublin.
David Wilson 1:31
David, before we do jump into the team and get Ben on the line, how are you keeping?
Ger Gilroy 1:36
Yeah, all good. Um strange sort of uh situation, atmosphere and vibe around the place uh today, you know, should be excited. But uh there's a bit of a element of dread over these couple of games and that's just nothing sport related. It's uh all the other stuff that's gonna go on uh outside of the games. But um look we have a squad to talk about and we have Kosovo next uh Thursday evening, that's the next week, we'll be getting ready to Head over. Well, we'll be there. We'll actually be there. I hope. Um by that stage, um in Pristina. And it's um an interesting squad. Mm.
David Wilson 2:11
Yeah, well let's let's get into the squad. I suppose before we do get into it, we did make a video the other day going through all what we thought might be in it, and naturally enough predictions are a fool's game, so we were a little bit off. We got a few things right, and uh there are a couple of surprises in here. I would argue probably more to talk about than I thought there would be uh as far as the squad goes. So without further ado, let's get into it. We've got three goalkeepers. A bit of a surprise in here. Uh we've got Queen Keller, we've got Max O'Leary, and we've got Gavin Bazunu, no mark Mark Travers, obviously Hammer Haglemson, um not too happy with the fact that he's not playing much football this time around, even though it didn't seem to matter before.
David Wilson 2:42
Max O'Leary's forum, probably one of the reasons for that. The defenders, Dar O'Shea, Jacobine, Liam Scales, John Egan, James Ibanqua, Jimmy Dunn, Liam Kitching. First call up for him, first call up for Joel Bagan as well, although he was called into the squad um before the World Cup, but didn't in fact make it uh over to join up with the squad. Ryan Manning is the final defender there as well. We'll get into all this in a little bit more detail in a moment. The midfielders, Jason Malumbe, Jason Knight, Finnazaz, Boston Lowell, Jamie McGrath, Harvey Vale, and Connor Coventry. And then finally the few attackers we've got Troy Parrott, Adamida, Chidozi Ogbenet, Tom Cannon returns to the squad, Owen Elding, uh first call up for him, finally able to play for the Republic of Ireland senior team, Jack Moylan and Rocco.
