On today's part in my take presented by DraftKings, we have our good friend Chris Long on the show talking NFL football. Great time with Chris. It's been too long. That wasn't a pun, but it worked out that way. We're going to do our week 10 picks and preview. We're going to sadly recap Thursday Night Football that... Absolutely sucked. We're in that zone now.
Later in the season, we're just going to get shitty-ass Thursday night football games.
Chapter 2: What are the main takeaways from the Thursday Night Football recap?
We got Fyre Fest. We got some windmill talk. Jerry's Fantasy Minute and our best bets. And it's all brought to you by GameTime. The NFL is in full swing. Tailgates, pack stands, that buzz before kickoff. But getting in? Nightmare. Cues, price jumps, getting logged out mid-click. All you want is to be there, beer in hand, losing your voice with the crowd.
And the GameTime app gives the advantage back to fans. It's the hack for unlocking amazing tickets and experiences in a few taps. It's incredibly easy to use. And the GameTime guarantee means you can trust you'll get 100% authentic tickets on time and at the best price. Plus... Fees are always included, so what you see is what you pay. We're looking at tickets for, what do we got?
Steelers at Chargers. Steelers at Chargers. What are the prices? A lot of Steelers fans probably going to this game. You can get in for $173 in L.A. Okay. Hey.
Welcome to Part of My Take, presented by DraftKings.
The crown is yours. Today is Friday, November 7th, and... We got some bad Thursday night football, boys. PFT, I have one question for you. Are you still a believer? He stunk. I'm a believer. But Bo wins football games. This is why we've been saying that he is Tim Tebow.

Chapter 3: How do the hosts feel about the state of the NFL and upcoming games?
You can give him all the credit in the world for this. And that was a dogshit football game. The NFL should send us a thank you card for watching it. We're going to keep consuming that garbage. It doesn't matter. I don't think that there's any two-team combination that could roll out there on a Thursday night where I wouldn't actually tune in and watch.
But I did wish for a moment that YouTube TV was also blocking Prime Video. I thought that would have been nice, I think. Um, but Bo Nix tonight was so bad, so bad. There was one particularly, it was a really egregious sequence. I, I forget if it was in the second or third quarter, it was around halftime. Um, but they picked off Gino Smith. In plus territory. Then the Broncos go three and out.
Punt. Then they force a three and out from the Raiders and block that punt. Then get the ball at like the 10-yard line.
Mm-hmm.
And then they go three and out and kick a field goal. Yeah. And that's what tonight was. That was the offensive explosion. And ironically, if you thought it was going to be a punt fest in the first half, A.J. Cole was dominant as a punter. Two coffee corner punts inside the one. And the Broncos. The Broncos punter sucked. Yeah.
Yeah.
He was getting booed. I did learn something. They were booing the punter.
Yeah.
They were booing the whole team, even though they were winning, which I don't blame them for. We're going to talk about windmills later on in today's episode. But I learned something tonight. I learned a fact about wind because in the first quarter, the wind was blowing so strong and the ball was like rolling around the field. The referee had to come in like respot the ball.

Chapter 4: What insights are shared about Drake May's performance against the Blitz?
I don't know what to make of this game because Drake May has been incredible against the Blitz so far this season. He is number one in its success rate, 64% against the Blitz. And Todd Bowles loves the Blitz. He does. So what's going to happen? I don't know. Bucks off a bye. This is a big game. Are you for real game for the Patriots?
Yeah, because obviously the Bills game was a huge one, but then you guys have not played the best.
Chapter 5: What factors influence the Patriots' upcoming game?
You've taken care of business. That was the passing of the torch game. This is not a must win. It is a must compete. If we lose, I'm not going to be. If we lose and it's a close game, I think that might be a good thing long term. This could be a start of the championship DVD game. No, I'm just saying I'm not going to be doom and gloom if we lose this game, depending on how we lose it.
If we lose by, call it 10-plus, then yeah, that's going to have to be a big reset, expectations, like what's going on. I don't think we're going to win out. I think that would be unrealistic to say we're going to lose at some point. It might be this week. I still think we're going to win, but it's a must compete.
It would be a little doom and gloom, though, if you lost, the Bills won, and then now you're looking at the division standings, you're looking at the playoff picture. No, because we have a better schedule.
Chapter 6: How do the Lions and Commanders compare in their upcoming matchup?
Okay. So not doom and gloom. No. I think the Bills have the easiest schedule remaining. Maybe a little bit of gloom? I thought we had the easiest schedule before and after. I'm pretty sure. Look up the easiest schedule remaining. The Bills have a very easy schedule remaining as well. The Chiefs was the reason why the Bills' schedule remaining was not the easiest.
But I think now that they've gotten past the Chiefs, I think it's pretty damn easy. Keep scrolling, keep scrolling, keep scrolling. Oh, no. I was wrong. All right. So it's still the Patriots. The Bills do have an easy schedule. What is it? Scroll down. We have 32nd. They have 28. Okay. So, yeah, it's going to be. Oh, yeah, they still have to play the Eagles. The Bills do. I miss Bucky Irving.
I miss the days when Bucky Irving was playing on Sundays. I think he is. He's back? I was looking on DraftKings as we were doing this game, and he's listed as a touchdown scorer. Because that could be huge for the Bucks. Zach. Yes, sir. Will you be sitting in the cave with us? I can sit and watch wherever you'd like me to sit and watch.
Okay.
Maybe Hank in the middle of you and Che? Are you ready for Che? Oh, you love Che. Che does nothing for me. He couldn't get me mad if he tried, and he's not scary whatsoever.
I think that's a good group of guys to watch a game with.
Zach is the same. I mean, I don't even – Stephen's a little – can be annoying. Jack is just a delight. Zach. Zach, yeah. He is a delight. That was fucked up. Yeah, that was pretty messed up.
That was fucked up. What?
You just called him Jack. They sound so similar. I mean... You called him Jack by accident. Sorry. Sorry, only a million people heard him call you Jack. Yeah, I don't care. If that bothered me, I would have knocked it on the show 10 years ago. No, but it's insane. Zach's got it in his head. No, it's going to be a good game.

Chapter 7: How does adding or removing a player impact the locker room dynamics?
So is there like a drastic change in the locker room when you add a guy or send off a guy?
Well, I haven't been a part of too many teams that were, like, big-time buyers or sellers at the deadline. Like, when I was in Philly and I started being on, like, good teams, you know, we were trying to make moves. Like, we brought in an A team. We brought in, like, Golden Tate or Jay Ajayi the year before. And I might be forgetting a couple moves that Howie made.
But, like, I think more than anything, it's just kind of a declaration, like a public declaration of where the team's going.
Chapter 8: What are the implications of the NFL trade deadline on team direction?
Not that you needed the nudge in New York. They're, like, one and seven. But when you show up on Tuesday or whatever it is, or Wednesday, and the two best players on your defense are gone, that kind of says something. As if it weren't buckle in and we got to find something to be motivated about to finish this season. The thing I like about...
And the thing I don't get about the whole Jets discourse is, like, I heard Kyle Brandt talking about this yesterday, and he's ranting and raving about, hey, it doesn't matter. The picks don't matter. Until they have a good quarterback, it doesn't matter. Did they not draft Sam Darnold?
Yeah.
It's not just about the quarterback. It's about building the program the right way. And, you know, I'm actually a fan for the receiving team, especially the sauce gardener trade. I think both teams win in that situation. Although it's not like kind of common to trade away lockdown corners.
Yeah. Yeah. No, I love the move for the Colts. That was their their secondary was definitely a weakness. And now they got another dude. And Lou and I can't ever say his name.
Sweet Lou. Sweet Lou. Sweet Lou. He's never had corners. He's never had corners like this.
Right. And when he has, you know, that Bengals team that went to the Super Bowl when he had good players, like he is a really good defensive coordinator. And I think that was a smart move by the Colts to be like, hey, these opportunities don't come along very often where it looks like our offense is going to be able to compete with anyone. Let's take advantage of this.
Let's try to win a Super Bowl this year.
Dude, the player in me is always like, let's go get it. And as an analyst, it's hard because I'll be – and Brandon Bean hates this shit because you heard him talking about it. It's like fantasy football and Madden has ruined the trade deadline where everybody thinks it's going to be like the NBA every year or whatever. But as a player, I always want to go for it.
