Chapter 7: How does Myles Garrett's performance impact MVP discussions?
He had three sacks today. He's had 14 sacks in his last three games? Is that correct? His last four games. 14 in his last four games? Yeah. That can't be right, is it? I know he has 18 right now. He has 18. I know he had four last week, so yeah, maybe it is. He had one against the Jets. And then he had four... So that's probably not right then. I probably misread that stat somewhere.
Either way, he has now hit his career high in sacks, and there's six games left. To take overall stands, I feel like he should get MVP consideration. No, no, no. You just said he should win MVP. Well... You can't walk that back. I think... You need to stop for the take. You can't walk it back. Say it with your chest. If he ends the season with... If he gets, what, 20... Let's say 25 sacks.
Yeah, that would smash it. That would be smashing it. He should be the MVP. If he gets 24, probably should still be the MVP. If you compare the last defensive MVP, which is Lawrence Taylor, he had 20 and a half sacks in 16 games. Five passes defended, two forced fumbles. Those were his stats when he won the MVP.
Chapter 8: What is the significance of the Texans' defense against the Bills?
Granted, he was on crack when he did that, which is like an added level of expertise. If Miles Garrett does all this on the Browns. That's equivalent to Lawrence Taylor doing it on crack. Yeah. I mean, he's insane. He has. You were right. So he has 14. No, no. Yeah, 14 sacks. Let me see. I'm bad at numbers. Yeah, 14 sacks the last five games. 14 in the last five.
Five games.
In the last five games. Pretty incredible run that he's on right now. Just dominant. Gino was sacked 10 times. Gino's not good, but it wasn't just Gino not being good. It was Myles Garrett just being in his... The entire defense. Myles Garrett got Chip Kelly fired. He got fired right after the game. They're like, yeah, we got to get rid of Chip Kelly. Do you think Tom Brady was consulted on that?
He might have been the one who fired. Was Tom Brady going to the airport? They probably sent him a text like, hey, Geno got sacked 10 times. There's a good chance that Tom lost to the Browns. He lost to the Shedussy. That Tom didn't watch the game because he was commentating on the Eagles-Cowboys game, yeah?
And then he got on a private jet to leave and then fired Chip Kelly from 40,000 feet in the air. He drone-striked him. I think the Raiders are the worst team in the NFL. They're definitely the toughest watch. I think they're the worst team in the NFL. Their two wins are against the Titans and the Patriots. They have lost. So they won against the Patriots week one. They've had one win since.
And it's not as bad as the Titans are. The Titans are moving the ball a little bit. They're... Not in the game, but kind of in the game for a little bit. The Raiders are just getting statistically dominated every which way. Every single game. I mean, they had that one game against the Jaguars where they were close. And obviously that Thursday night game against the Broncos, which was ugly.
But they also had that 31-0 loss to the Chiefs. They got smoked by the Cowboys. This game was not of, I mean, it's 24-10, but it was against a guy who'd never started in the NFL, and the Browns have never won with a quarterback having their first start for the Browns, and they got dominated. Geno Smith was just sacked 10 times. 10 times. He got hit 20 times. It's crazy. Yeah, it was not good.
The Browns' defense is awesome. Imagine the Browns having a halfway competent offense for a season. They would be a legitimate team. That's all they need. And now Stefanski says he is not committing to a starter for next week yet. Oh, they got to commit. But you just got it. You got to keep it rolling with Shador. Yeah.
The confidence he has and the way he talks, you would have thought he threw for 450 yards. You need somebody like a perfect game. You need somebody like Shador. Somebody that is just completely irrationally overconfident in himself. Yeah. He said a lot of people want to see me fail. It ain't going to happen. He is right. A lot of people want to see him fail. I love Jordan.
