Is it really colder in Biarritz than New Zealand right now?

Tony Lyall 0:00
Don't say it, Tony. Don't say it. I know you'd want to. I know you want to. You're wearing a jersey. Everyone's talking about it. Just resist, okay? It's a bit chilly out there, don't you reckon? It's a bit bloody cold. It's cold. Is it cold over in Glasgow, James McConey?
James McOnie 0:19
I'm not in Glasgow anymore. I'm in Biarritz, my friends. It's a bit cold. You're embarrassed. I don't mind if I do. Yeah, I flew from Edinburgh down here. Glasgow was kind of a little bit chilly during the Comm Games, but it sort of played into our favour, right? Absolutely. It was actually okay. But look at the – I've seen the snow and the people skiing down Baldwin Street. Snow in Wellington as well, I believe. Yeah, snow in Wellington.
Tony Lyall 0:53
It didn't settle, but shit, the social media content was out of control of people absolutely losing their minds. Yeah, they always go mad at this time of year, the news. They'll put the weather at the first story and then it gets to the weather and they're like, you'll never believe the weather. And we're like, yeah, you've already done it. You did it at the top of the show, mate. We've already covered this. Well, it's so much we love weather because during the news, four times they cut to updates on the weather. Yeah, the weather ghouls never been more busy than at this time of year. But there's a new thing that they're doing, which I don't really appreciate. And they're like, it is currently four degrees with a feels like temperature of minus two.
Tony Lyall 1:29
And I'm like, what does this feel like temperature horseshit? I think that's the wind chill. But it is either that temperature or it isn't that temperature. I don't want to know like a vibe of the temperature. Like tell me what the thermometer feels like and then that's the temperature. No feels like. It's not a thing. I like the layers. Tells you how many layers you should wear? It depends. I mean, what textile are we making the layer out of? Surely that changes how many layers. In summer, they should just go shirtless. Zero layers. Just go full shirtless. Go G-Banger. Speaking of G-Bangers, James McConey, we need to discuss the G-Banger that you were seeing wearing and then a very Baywatch style slow-mo run to the camera with a kilt.
Tony Lyall 2:09
And I must say, you look pretty fetching in a kilt, James McConey. I became aroused when you did the slow-mo run towards the camera, can I just say. There was a lot of sort of jiggling and jumbling and it really did it for me.
James McOnie 2:20
Were you hoping for a little bit of upskirting as well, Tony?
Finn Caddie 2:24
I was. Jeez, I was.
James McOnie 2:25
I'm always hoping for some upskirting. Exactly. It's just your favourite thing. But in the end, I think the kilt was actually a Makai tartan. On my mum's side, I'm a Makai, so they gave me the right colours and I was feeling... I was feeling powerful. Yes. I enjoyed the moment. I enjoyed the socks, like proper walk socks. Yeah. I enjoyed them too. My mum used to put me in those socks for, you know, special events. They were my number ones, if you like, you know. the walks, shorts and socks to sort of mirror that dad, you know, like my dad was a geography teacher. So of course he's in the walk socks, but, um, that guy from the kilts place, you know, when we were at Craig as well, you go around on, on to these places and you're just asking for favors like, Hey, can you, can you help us out?
James McOnie 3:17
We're going to kind of come into your shop and pretty much take the person. I'm going to flick a G string at you. And, um, he's like, yeah, sweet. I sort of love Scotland for that. And the slunge kilts in particular, I should give them another shout out because a lot of people could tell you to bugger off, right?
Tony Lyall 3:34
Oh, absolutely. Did you get pulled up? Because last time we were in Scotland, I had Joe Jury with me. I mean, anyone who's seen Joe Jury in the flesh, he looks like he's been spurt out the bottom of the highlands, in the lowlands, anywhere there in Scotland. And we put him in a kilt when we were there. My uncle over there put him in his kilt and said, you need to wear this around. You look, you know, you look great. More Scottish than William Wallace.
