Baseball news, the Brewers clinched the National League Central again. I think that's four consecutive years. They have the best record, I think, in baseball, certainly in the National League. And it's an oh by the way, Brewers on top in the National League Central. The interesting baseball news I thought last night was Pete Alonzo, former Met coming back and at City Field. Nobody's hit more home runs at City Field. midfield and Pete Alonzo. The Mets allowed him to go to Baltimore in the off season. He comes back, he hits a game tying home run and then he gets a standing ovation. Um I didn't think the Mets season could get any lower, but you did. Pete Oonzo, you welcomed him when he came back when the series started, and now all of a sudden you're gonna give him a hero's welcome in another uniform.

The only guy who's Even close to that worth that kind of money is Otani because of a global effect that he has. And he's a pitcher and a hitter. And he wins MVPs. And he can hit fifty home runs. And he proved that he can steal fifty bases. He is one of one. But to get seven hundred million dollars for Juan Soto, I always think, you know, the Brewers do it. Tampa does it. You can have smart front office people where you go, let's spend our money wisely, instead of I'm a billionaire, I can spend on whatever I want.
You know, you can talk about the Dodgers, but they do get good players. Yes, they overspent Frotani, if you want to look at it that way. I don't think so. As long as he's gonna be healthy for, you know, another four or five years, then it's a really Good investment, a great investment. And if you're winning, it's a great investment. But I think that they've gone out and gotten some players that other teams could have gotten. And this speaks to the financial sanity of baseball or lack thereof, because I think there's going to be a work stoppage next year.
