You know that they only have about two weeks to do that.
When they came back from break, they had about 30 days to do it, just a month or under to do it, and we'll see if they can get it done. But I want to talk to you about the fallout that's happening from Jimmy Kimmel because it goes beyond Jimmy Kimmel. He may be the person that is sort of at the center of this, but he is the thing. the person that has that set this chain into motion what was charlie kirk at first and then his response to the president's response uh to charlie kirk that started all of this and now folks are concerned about free speech the comedians now are speaking out about it and they're speaking out and late night hosts and they're speaking out and they're very strong in their criticism first up john stewart well not we'll tell you what john stewart said in a little bit but first up i want to play this is stephen colbert

And also, you couldn't let me enjoy this for like one week. Just come on.
Well, and you know that Stephen Colbert has been the most outspoken. He has been the person who I think makes the strongest jokes about Donald Trump. Are they anti-Trump? I think that they are funny, not necessarily anti-Trump, because he also made jokes about Biden and so did Trump. fallon and so did kimmel and they um and you know they folks didn't like it liberals didn't like it but now he's making fun he's joking about donald trump and now we have him being uh suspended okay so this is jimmy fallon did something that's a little bit different it's similar to something that john stewart did last night but jimmy fallon um showed how he feels about what's happening with the media and comedians by doing what?
By showing just how hypocritical it is and just how farcical it is to have the administration and the government and the FCC put their thumb on the scale as it relates to this issue of free speech. Here it is.
