You got it. You're exactly right. And that's what we're going to talk about this morning. Can I start off with now? This is a longer video. And I think it sets us up. Precisely. For where we are right now and where I'm going to take you this morning. Okay. Now this is JB Pritzker. And he is the governor of Illinois, as you know. Solid guy. Lots of integrity. Morals. Does the right thing. And he has a warning for us, as did the governor of New York have a warning for us yesterday as well. But I want you to think about the times that we're in, and I really want you to listen to what he is saying and Because sometimes if you say it yourself, people want to demonize you. They want to cancel you. They want to get rid of you.
There's no nuance anymore. People can't have conversations without people getting mad and taking it personally. So this is Mr. Pritzker with a warning about where we are with a king descending into what he says is, I believe he says is fascism. He also says the N-word, not the N-word as you think, but as it relates to Germany in the 1930s. OK, so listen to this and I'm going to guide you through it. And I just want you to, again, as you're having your coffee, your breakfast or whatever it is that you're doing, pay attention to the governor. Here it is.
Reflecting these last four weeks on two important parts of my life. My work helping to build the Illinois Holocaust Museum and the two times that I've had the privilege of reciting the oath of office for Illinois governor. As some of you know, Skokie, Illinois once had one of the largest populations of Holocaust survivors anywhere in the world. In 1978, Nazis decided that they wanted to march there. The leaders of that march knew that the images of swastika-clad young men goose stepping down a peaceful suburban street would terrorize the local Jewish population, so many of whom had never recovered from their time in German concentration camps.
