Everybody's all outraged that Donald Trump pardoned the January 6th rioters, criminals. People who committed treason. You guys are shocked. He said he was going to do it. What did you think? And by the way, I'm sorry. Good morning. What did you think, though? Everybody's like texting me and calling me like, oh, my God, I'm so shocked. What are you shocked by?
He said he was going to do it. Everyone keeps saying, you know, these people who voted for Donald Trump, they effed around and they found out. Guess what, Democrats? Or people who don't support Donald Trump? You effed around and you found out. Oh, he's not really going to do that. Yes, he is. And he did. Should you be shocked? You can be disappointed by it. I'm not saying it's normal. I'm not saying I disagree with it. But what are you shocked about? What are you surprised about? What are you clutching your pearls about? This is what everyone says. Look, when they say, look, this is trash. This is some trash thinking. This is some trash behavior. This is some un-American behavior. When people call out And they talk about the behavior of members of the MAGA movement.
Everyone gets all clutch. Oh, my God. I can't. You dare. He's talking about your fellow Americans. And oh, my gosh, you can't speak that way. We must be civil and we have to be do. You know, we just we can't. Not everybody. Yeah, of course. Not every. Trump supporter is a racist. No, no one is saying that. I'm sure not everyone agrees with the pardoning of the January 6th people. But overall, you supported. You held your nose. And you voted for it. Because what, we keep saying voted against their own interests? No, you voted for your interests because you believe, you believe, even though it's not your interest, you believe that what Donald Trump was going to do was going to help you and you did not care about anybody else.
You didn't care about the least of these in society. You didn't care about minorities. You didn't care about any of those things. You didn't care about police officers. You didn't care about backing the blue. You don't care about those things. You care about you.
So all this talk about, you know, civility. I'm talking to you now, Democrats. We've got to, maybe we can speak to our senators and we can appeal to their better angels and their better minds and actions. There's no appealing to this. There's no appealing to this. This is not normal. Democrats, this is not, we are not in the 1900s anymore. We're not in the late 1900s. We're not even in the early 2000s, the aughts. This is normal. We're in a whole different thing. We're in a whole different thing. My producer always says to me, Democrats are bringing a butter knife to a bazooka fight. So I hate to say this, but as much as I blame... Or it's not as much, almost as much as I blame the Republicans and the MAGA folks for this behavior.
I blame the Democrats because you're weak, because you keep operating in a time that has gone by. You keep operating in a horse and buggy political environment. And we're in electric cars and rockets. You keep playing goody two shoes. And you think that by appealing to someone's better angels or better nature, that it's going to make them somehow do the right thing. You keep thinking, well, he's not going to do that. He's just going to be a normal Republican president. He's not, folks are saying, he's not going to be able to do all those things that he says he's going to do that he, no, he is and more. And I'm going to show you the proof in just moments. We have to keep understanding the MAGA people.
We have to understand. Let's do a focus group. Let's go on the legacy media channel so that we can do some sort of self, you know what, I don't know, and make us feel better that we've somehow spoken out because we've done that.
