Yeah, again, you just can't simulate this any any day of coming out in training camp, scrimmaging against your own guys. Just can't simulate the work. Um was really appreciative of of Tampa and Todd and the way they worked with uh with us to get this thing organized. It it was physical. I mean it was a good physical practice. Obviously gotta go wash the tape. There's a ton to clean up. Uh I was pleased with the way they gate they started faster. Um had a little dips and lulls that you just get frustrated with. Um but like I told 'em it's kinda how football games are. If there's ebbs and flows, how do we handle 'em? How do we respond to 'em? But uh it was really appreciative of the work.

I think he's all right. I mean, just came down on his shoulder. I think we'll just hold it out with smart, keep him out and then get him go for Cleveland.
What did you think of the work that C J and uh Josh were able to get?
Yeah, I mean I gotta gotta go watch. There's a couple of things that I think we might have jacked up out there. I know they they're blocking their tails off. I I know Josh had a couple of good ones. Um, you know, probably didn't get a ton of like target work. You know, Parker was probably getting a lot of it, strange got some more. Um, but I've been pleased with their ability to jump in in in terms of like Jacoby's down, then BTs out, being able to go in and us still operate as an offense and still um you know, be able to be efficient at times. Still m like to see us separate maybe a little bit better um on some of those second level throws. But um yeah, they're coming along. Yeah, so I'm gonna do the first half offensively, um, and then Spencer Whipple will get the third quarter, uh John Van Damme will get the fourth quarter.
How are roster cuts and upcoming roster decisions shaping the team?
On defense, uh it'll be a mix of like four coaches. I I'm not sure exactly yet that we gotta talk to Campi, but I don't even know if he's gonna start it off or not. Um but like Aruso will get some work, Tem Lucabu, a couple guys are gonna be able to get turns. Camp said he did it in Green Bay where they just pass along the headset. So um we'll be able
What you thought you were gonna get overall up to this point from when preseason first started?
Yeah. Um like last year, right, we didn't have a lot of these opportunities and so I think you look at from New Orleans to to today, you're pleased with the progression, you're pleased with the response. Um, you know, like I said, you can't simulate this an anywhere in in in training camp. So was pleased with where we're at. I mean there's always a ton to clean up and a lot of our focus. Just now has to go to final cut downs, finishing this thing up and uh really headed towards Cleveland.
Two minute drill at the end. Were you satisfied or not satisfied? No answer. You know what I mean? Like how upset were you to see that? I mean so well. I mean I I um
yeah, I definitely wasn't thrilled with the finish. Um would like to see us protect it better, would like us to see us complete it better and um you know, I think that when you're down to your wide outs it's always a little bit of a challenge, especially ones that separate in man coverage and um yeah, we gotta be better.
Same time your defense, uh, in that two minute drill on the other side, but then also the day that Josh had.
Yeah, I gotta take a look, um, and see the the defense aside. I didn't get to to obviously see much of it, but um, you know, it's If our front can can go and and and can cause some of the havoc that we know and we've seen some of the challenges that it can present, um, it just makes life a lot easier on the back end. And when we're tied together, the rush and the coverage is tied in, uh, we can be a good defense. Uh when we have some miscommunications and look, there's a lot that goes into every play. Especially defensively, there is we don't just line up and call too much basics, right? There's checks and audibles and alerts on defense as well and that's why so much communication needs to occur and we can't beat ourselves.
