We feel like we got a good team and we really just want to show people how good we are at the end of the day. So

been training hard for it, practicing hard for it, and I think we're gonna go out there and do that. I really don't care for uh that's uh that's something for real. I can't control it.
Only one full off season with the team and you're already being selected as a team captain. Is it rewarding knowing that your peers view you in such a high regard?
Yeah, I would say so, especially the way I see them. I feel like there's a lot of guys who probably could have got picked over me, honestly. I mean it was a surprise to me, but I'm grateful for and then hopefully I can just step up to the plate and do what I'm supposed to do for the team.
Jacoby so much continuity. Have you seen that pay dividends here at this camp and getting ready for the season opener?
I would say so. But I mean football kinda fun because it's a roller coaster, right? So we have good days, we have bad days. It's ultimately like who gonna we're gonna see it through regardless. So I think we got guys who we're gonna see it through at the end of the day. So whatever shows out there we're gonna be tough. We're gonna stick together and then get better the next day. obviously during the preseason. Is there a little extra work you gotta get done this week to kinda ramp up since you didn't get a lot of time?
I would say so, but like I said, we got a lot of good guys, a lot of professional guys.
What does being named a team captain mean for a first‑year Jaguar?
So everybody knows what they kinda gotta do. They just wanna keep building every day. So we all gonna have to deal with the mentality to get better and go out there and put our best before.
How much does it help going through the season knowing who you are or thinking you know who you are or what you guys are?
It really don't matter, honestly. When the ball kick off you you Who are you? At the end of the day, it don't matter who you think you are or what somebody else think you are, when the game starts, show me who you are.
I think their D line plays hard. They're up the field rushers and then they have, you know, two backers that can, you know, run sideline and sideline pretty athletic. So um that's what we notice that jumps out to us on the screen and you know we're just trying to combat that with a good game plan and just doing what we do. How much you looking forward to showing your receiving skills a little bit more this year? Um looking to I'm looking forward to it a lot. Um you know primarily last year was you know a lot of handoffs but you know getting an open space and you know drawing up players to give me an open space is kinda what I'm I'm looking forward to. What's it like being s seeing Emmanuel Pregnant take that step as a rookie?
Uh it's amazing. You know, he comes in, he's you know, he's a pro as a rook and you know that's what we love to see and he stepped in and he's done a great job, you know, he's in his playbook, he's out there on the on the grass doing a good job. How will the Jaguars' defense plan to stop Cleveland’s rushing attack?
What has to happen to pick back up where you were before the end of last season when it dropped off? What do you guys have to do to get back to the successful running game that the coach was talking about? Uh just stay on stay on track and then um stand on our details, harping the things we practice and you know just being true to ourselves. I think you know with the O-line blocking as good as they have been and then a running back's just, you know, putting the ball where supposed to go is, you know, a a big piece of our success. When you look at it at the end of the day, there's yards, yards per carry, all those things. What's a stat that you look at that shows you efficiency? Um, I honestly for me wins and losses.
Uh you know, as long as we you know, it might not be a game when we go out there and you know rush for a hundred yards, two hundred yards, as long as we get out with the win on the category, I'm you know, I'm pretty much fine.
