How did the quarterbacks' Day 2–3 accuracy and red zone footwork stand out in practice?

Yeah, I thought, you know, day one was not, you know, his best or our best as a receiver, you know, as a crew. I thought yesterday was very sharp. I mean, some of the throws he made yesterday were... legitimate like big time big time throws that you know you're really excited about seeing I thought there was some things in the red zone today that he did really well and I think there's a couple clips that we can learn from in terms of just how fast things happen down there and for like a bigger dude something we're just working on is like some of the routes that a concept maybe that you run in the red zone that you also run up the field, that the footwork up the field, maybe like three steps in the gun or hitch, it has to be a different footwork in the red zone.

So like those were some things that came up a little bit of how fast It happens down in the red area. And with such limited inventory of red zone concepts in a lot of what we were running was things that we were also running up the field. So a couple of those things came up. But in terms of running the show, the operation and also accuracy and putting the ball on the guys and spreading it out. I mean, I think you're seeing it really well right now.

I mean, you know, Patrick, we're trying to be smart. It's a long year. It's a long camp. He's a pro's pro. I know exactly he's not going to, you know, miss a beat in terms of knowing what he has to do, the scheme, the concepts, all that. I mean, love to get him more, but It's smart. I think it's the right thing to do, and I'm not worried about him, but it's a great opportunity for Wyatt and for some of those other guys to get more reps with the first group. That's just different when you get reps and Trevor's talking to you and you're protecting for Trevor and you're working with the first group. It's definitely a little bit more of a heightened sense of urgency, and I'm pleased with the way Wyatt's responded so far.

How much pressure does it take off of you and your job in the big picture to have the special teams, the three main guys, operate at such a peak level of efficiency? Boy, you go into the season with those guys, you kind of know exactly where you're going to get.

Totally. I mean, being in L.A. the early years like 18 and you had the three specialists that we had and you know with the special teams coach returning and you don't have as much turnover there. I mean that's huge to have that continuity chemistry like I don't. It's not like I'm coaching any of those guys on how to kick. you know, or what to do from that standpoint. So they're very diligent and detailed in the way that they go about their business and approach. And I think Heath and Luke and those guys do a phenomenal job. The players trust them, not just schematically, but they trust that they have their best interests in mind, and they love to play for those guys. And I think that the leadership of, obviously, Logan and Ross and Cam continuing to come into his own

But what are some areas that you're looking to see out of him in terms of the evolution of his game? Yeah, I think just removing him from the core a little bit more and getting him out in space a little bit more. So, all right, whether it's at the slot position, whether it's at number one and a three-by-one to the trip side or put him one-on-one on the backside, like I've got to move him around a little bit more so that he's getting gets put in positions to run routes, maybe he's not always going to be running. That middle of the field in which he's done such a great job of working, something that I'd like to be intentional of over the next few days is just putting him in some more receiver positions and just moving him around a little bit to get his skill set to continue to expand.
