What is the main topic discussed in this episode?
Today on the Lazy RPG Talk Show, we're going to talk about a couple of new articles on Sly Flourish.
What Sly Flourish updates and podcast appearances is Mike Shea sharing?
I have been doing the circuit for various podcasts and video talk shows, talking all about Rise of the Lazy Game Master. I'm going to talk about a few of the appearances that I've been on and about appearances that I'm going to be on in the future. I'm going to talk a little bit about the games that I have been enjoying, including my Wednesday Nimble game, my Sunday Tales of the Valiant game, and the Session Zero we had for Fantasy Age. Throne of Bones has a bundle of holding. This is an awesome northern-based setting by Lou Anders. They have a bundle of holding going on right now. We're going to talk about that. Limithron's Pirate Map Collection is available on Backerkit. Fingertip Isles by Jeffrey Stevens on Kickstarter.
What D&D/RPG products and Kickstarter highlights does Mike spotlight?
Attack the Light, Avenge the White Mare by Michael Putlick. on Kickstarter as well. There was an excellent episode of the Reading D&D Aloud podcast talking about Star Wars Saga Edition. Today, I'm gonna talk about the adventure types in Rise of the Lazy Game Master. What are they? Why do we have them? What makes them interesting? That kind of stuff. Today's tip is going to be the value of relics, how you can build entire campaigns around the acquisition of little single-use magic items. And we're going to cover more questions from the Patreon Q&A all today on the Lazy RPG Talk Show. I'm Mike Shea, your pal from Sly Flourish, here to talk about all things in tabletop role-playing games. As you imagine, the Rise of the Lazy Game Master Kickstarter has been first and foremost in my mind and on our attention.
And we have two articles. So on Sly Flourish, on the website and on the newsletter, I have been diving deep into each of the main topics. Uh, sections of rise of the lazy game master. The first section being how the eight tips, the eight steps from lazy GM prep have been each expanded to include all new information that we've got. The second one was on campaign planning, a lazy, lazy building, lazy campaigns, building and running lazy campaigns. I talked about that. This week is about adventure types. And then in the following week, we're going to talk about the Lazy GM Toolkit, all the different kinds of tools that you have. So last week's article was Prepping and Running Lazy Campaigns. There is an article on Sly Flourish about it.
You can also hear me talk about it on last week's talk show where I dove into that. And yeah, so we've got lots of cool, lots of cool information here about the chapters, a little section on each of the chapters of the book, what that chapter brings to the table when it comes to running, prepping and running lazy campaigns all the way from finding a group and running single session games and then starting to think about your campaign and then running the campaign all the way to the end of finishing your campaign. What does the end of your campaign look like? So that's sort of the whole arc of, of campaign lazy lazy rpg campaign planning so if you want to read more about that there's a link down in the show notes for it that is the that is the best way to to pick that up this coming week's article is the adventure types what are the adventure types i'm going to talk all about that today so we don't need to dive in too deep but there's also an article where i talk about those adventure types that i'm going to use as the outline for the talk today so we have that too
Over on the Sly Flourish Patreon, because I've been talking so much about Rise and I've been talking about it here on the talk show and I've also been writing articles about it, for the patrons I wanted to do something a little bit different. So I've actually been grabbing particular chapters from Rise of the Lazy Game Master and reading them out loud and then talking a little bit about what's going on behind those chapters. So last week I did the Infiltrations and Heists adventure type. It's one of the chapters that's not even in the preview where I read the chapter out loud and then spent some time on it.
