Hey friends, it's your pal Mike Shea from Sly Flourish here with another episode of Sly Flourish's Lazy GM Prep. In this weekly show, I go through steps from Return of the Lazy Dungeon Master and Rise of the Lazy Game Master while preparing for my Sunday role-playing game. All kinds of stuff. Patrons get access to all kinds of stuff. There's a whole dedicated podcast called readings and reflections that I do every week on that show on that, on that channel for hero tier subscribers, tons of stuff. It's a really good, the Patreon is a really good deal. People have always talked about what a great deal it is. So you should check it out if you haven't checked it out. So the characters are 15th level. They have decided to hunt down one of the dragon emperors, a dragon emperor known as Lashmarak, who is very likely the most dangerous of the Morza. The Morza are the nine dragons who rule over the dragon empire. They have a pact called the Maradi Pact. And the characters, the whole goal of the characters over the past 15 levels and 76 sessions of play that we've had now is to destabilize the Dragon Empire, take down the Dragon Empire.
And they're well on their way. And it's very possible that removing the pin of Lash Morak from... could be the one factor that will truly destabilize the Empire. Lash Morak is the most dangerous. She's not the leader of the Morza, but she is on her way. And she has great sway over the dragon who is in charge, whose name is Marat. Marat is an ancient, very, very old ancient red dragon who was the one who founded the pact. And he has grown tired. And the especially a civil war is starting to break out in the dragon empire among the dragons. He doesn't want to have any part of it. She wants to take control over the dragon empire and rule it with force. And she is doing things to do so. So the characters decided, we are going to go take her out.
We're going to find her and take her out. So they traveled to the area where she resides, and they met some kobolds who previously had served her, but broke away. They defended the kobolds from an ongoing attack, saved the kobolds that they could. The kobold lair was destroyed with a meteor swarm after it turned out, after one of her sons was killed, her eldest son was killed by the characters. And the characters made their way on an underground river to a lost city called Numera, which everyone calls Numenera and it drives me bananas, but it's my own fault for calling it Numera, but I'm not changing it now. So they went to the ruined city of Numera. Numera is an elven city, old elven city, long abandoned, but the magic there still kind of resides.
And it has been taken over by ghost walkers.
Who are the characters and what is their goal against Lashmarak?
Ghost walkers are like cannibalistic, humanoid underground dwellers, chuds, that live under the ground. All different species that have kind of become this group of brutal hunters down in the Underdark, down in the Underworld. And a group of them has splintered off from the main group and worships Lash Morak as a god. And so she's got this army of these brutal hunters that she has been breeding for hundreds of years. And, uh, that serve her as a God down in, down in this ruined city and the ruined city, uh, the, the, these, these folks, the, the, the, the ghost walkers of Lash Morak are battling the ghost walkers of the pale mother.
