How does it feel to be the brand of your business?
Catherine Moskal 0:41
I feel like when you own something, you take a lot more pride in the work you do and the clients that you serve and how you serve them. And so I want to make sure that everything is on point, everything we do, everybody gets the best experience possible.

How did Catherine Moskal overcome adversity to build her agency?

Gray Gutierrez 1:48
Catherine, welcome. Thank you. Thanks for having me. I don't want to spoil it, but what do you do, Catherine?
Catherine Moskal 1:53
I am the owner of Kaplan Moscow Health Plans, which is a health insurance agency based out of Colorado. And we work with self-employed small businesses, really anybody who doesn't have access to group benefits to make sure that they're set up for insurance and they're protecting their future.
Gray Gutierrez 2:13
Catherine, that is amazing. You can speak to me now. That was awesome. I don't have health insurance. I'm clearly doing OK, but I health insurance scares me. I work for myself. I don't know where to start. So you've literally just were beamed from the command center. You're the purple ranger and you're all about great color, by the way. This is purple.

What mindset is essential for entrepreneurs to succeed?

Gray Gutierrez 2:34
It does mean health. She's she's spot on. There's market research that proves this, by the way. well perfect i didn't even know that you didn't know yeah that's the reason why the xbox launched to connect and it was all purple because all their market research good old microsoft so good for you for wearing purple so enough with branding even though i love branding help me out here like where do i begin how do i find you besides this how do i find insurance through you and what services do you provide
Catherine Moskal 3:00
Yeah. So I mean, finding a health insurance broker is actually pretty easy. You can just go on to Google and say health insurance agents near me. Make sure you vet them and you're looking at the reviews, have them show you their license just to make sure you're working with somebody who's reputable. But working with us is super easy. So we don't charge anything for our services. And so if you just come to me and say, hey, I just want to know what a quote would be for myself.

How can entrepreneurs prioritize personal development?

Catherine Moskal 3:26
You know, I'm young, healthy. You know, go to the doctor every once in a blue moon. I'm going to find you a plan that's going to fit your budget and your needs. If you come to me and say I have 14 prescriptions, I go to the doctor once a week. You're going to have to pay a little bit more for insurance, but we're still able to help somebody in that situation, too. And so having insurance is actually very important. Yes. I know it may not seem like it might not seem like it, especially when you're healthy. Like I have had health insurance my whole life. I can't even tell you the last time I used my health insurance. So it does feel like it's not a necessary thing that you need to pay for. But I have seen so many people in situations where they want to get insurance after the fact.
Catherine Moskal 4:15
So think of this. You're driving your car. You have no car insurance. You get into an accident.
