Chapter 3: What does the new poll reveal about Americans' views on military action in Venezuela?
I change a lot. From when I first came to office, it's now quite a while ago. We had discussions on some things. I'm not going to discuss what they were, but I feel very confident that he can do a very good job. I think he's going to be, I think he is going to surprise some conservative people, actually, and some very liberal people. He won't surprise them because they already like him.
The diplomatic approach continuing throughout the half-hour event, including this moment when President Trump stepped in to diffuse a question over whether Mamdani thinks President Trump is a fascist.
Are you affirming that you think President Trump is a fascist?
I've spoken about... That's okay. You can just say yes. Okay. It's easier. It's easier than explaining it. I don't mind.
President Trump previously floating the idea of sending in the National Guard to aid in New York City deportations. a familiar play for the non-cooperative cities across this country. However, on Friday, Mr. Trump again focusing on shared goals rather than issuing threats.
Mr. President, you've threatened to send federal troops to New York City. You both have differences when it comes to ICE agents in New York City. Mr. Mamdani, you've called ICE a rogue government entity. I wonder how you reconcile your differences on both of those issues.
Well, I think we're going to work them out. And I think that if we have Known murderers and known drug dealers and some very bad people. You know, we want to get them out. And the mayor wants to have peace. We discussed this at great length, actually, maybe more than anything else. He wants to have a safe New York. Ultimately, a safe New York is going to be a great New York.
We discussed ICE and New York City, and I spoke about how the laws that we have in New York City allow for New York City government to speak to the federal administration for about 170 serious crimes.
On Saturday, President Trump remaining consistent in his soft-handed approach to New York, though keeping the National Guard option on the table.

Chapter 4: What allegations are being made about Somali fraud in Minnesota?
You've called him a despot. Do you still believe President Trump is a threat to the democracy?
Everything that I've said in the past, I continue to believe.
On Friday night, one of MAGA's biggest stars, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, or MTG, announcing her resignation from Congress, effective January 5th, 2026. The announcement coming one week after President Trump withdrew his endorsement of MTG, just as primary season is ready to ramp up.
Chapter 5: How did Trump respond to the fraud allegations against the Somali community?
Mr. Trump pulling his support for the Georgia firebrand in a November 14th Truth Social post, just hours after Greene questioned whether Mr. Trump was being true to his America First pledge, by spending so much time on foreign policy. A portion of MTG's video resignation here.
I have fought harder than almost any other elected Republican to elect Donald Trump and Republicans to power. I traveled the country for years. I spent millions of my own money. I missed precious time with my family that I can never get back.
Meanwhile, most of the establishment Republicans who secretly hate him and who stabbed him in the back and never defended him against anything have all been welcomed in right after the election. I have too much self-respect and dignity. I love my family way too much.
And I do not want my sweet district to have to endure a hurtful and hateful primary against me by the president that we all fought for, only to fight and win my election while Republicans will likely lose the midterms. And in turn, be expected to defend the president against impeachment after he hatefully dumped tens of millions of dollars against me and tried to destroy me.
Green railing against what she calls the, quote, political industrial complex, which she says focuses more on dividing Americans than it does on solving problems.
President Trump reacting to news of the resignation early Saturday morning in a Truth Social post, quote, Marjorie Trader Brown, because of plummeting poll numbers and not wanting to face a primary challenger with a strong Trump endorsement, where she would have no chance of winning, has decided to call it quits.
For some reason, primarily that I refuse to return her never-ending barrage of phone calls, Marjorie went bad.

On Saturday afternoon, Mr. Trump characterizing things this way to reporters.
Are you willing to partake with Congresswoman Taylor Greene? Forgive for what? No, I just disagreed with her philosophy. She started backing perhaps the worst Republican congressman in our history, this stupid person named Massey. I said, go your own way. And once I left her, she resigned because she would have she would never have survived a primary. But I think she's a nice person.
I know that before you had a fight with Elon Musk and you guys were able to work it out. I get along with everybody. We see the same thing happening between you and Congress.
Why not? I mean, I get along with everybody. The resignation would take effect halfway through her term. In 2024, Greene won Georgia's 14th district with 64.4% of the vote, the Cook Political Report rating the district as solidly red.
Georgia Governor Brian Kemp is required to set a date for a special election to fill the seat within 10 days of Greene's resignation taking effect, making the deadline approximately January 15th, 2026. The chair of the Paulding County Republican Party, which makes up part of MTG's district, telling a local news outlet that he expects the special election to actually occur in March.
With MTG stepping down, the balance of power in the House narrowing to 218 Republicans versus 213 Democrats. Coming up, President Trump reportedly weighs increasing action against Venezuela, but are Americans on board? And a bombshell fraud investigation prompts the president to revoke protected status for some Somalis in Minnesota.
