Why do we ignore our intuition?

Host 0:00
Maybe you have had the same experience where you just feel like something is off about somebody and it is it always is Why is that? Why is that? This is an uncomfortable topic to make a video about because I know some people do not believe in this They think that this is a whole lot of BS baloney sandwich Famously baloney sandwich. There's just a lot of content out there about spirituality about following your instinct following your heart and i used to think it was all trash i used to think that this there's nothing there's no merit to that there's nothing to see there what life is is what life is there's there's no there's nothing to follow when it comes to making decisions But that's just not true.
Host 1:00
At least my experience has just not been that. I urge you, if there is one thing that you do in life, it's to follow your intuition. I urge you. I wish I knew to do this sooner. I wish. And I do it a lot. I do it every day. It's become something that is indispensable to the way that I make things happen. Now, sure, scientifically, that might mean that I'm just going off of instinct or I'm just the first decision in my brain is the one I make, but I don't know. And maybe somebody can validate me. Maybe you have had the same experience where you just feel like something is off about somebody. And it is. It always is. Why is that? Why is that?

How can intuition guide decision-making?

Host 1:55
Anytime I have gone off of intuition, even in the moment when something does not make sense, when things are not working out but I'm following the intuition, I get to where I need to be. And maybe that is just survivor bias, right? Or it's the bias of something going right. And so you feel like your intuition is goaded. And it's like, you know, messy World Cup 2022 Qatar level. But I don't know. I live my life off intuition now. I just have learned to trust it and like trust myself. And I've had too many examples where I have gone against it. Because I'm like, no, no. It makes sense on paper. And everything crumbles. Everything crumbles. I'm not here to debate what it is. Because I don't think that that's... I don't know what it is.
Host 3:00
I don't know why I will feel certain things and I'll be like, this is wrong. Something is off about this. But I think that everyone has this. I think everyone... deep down knows that they have an intuition. You can probably look back at a certain instance in your life where you felt like something was wrong, something was weird, and you could not put your finger on it. That's usually how it is. But you kind of just went with it anyways, even though, I don't know, maybe somebody was telling you, oh, you should go to this party, but you knew that you really shouldn't have gone to this party. Something's off about it. Or someone is DMing you, being like, hey, what's up? Hey, I think you're cute. And you're like, This is a bot. This is 100% a bot.
Host 3:44
But your intuition is telling you, hey, no, they're low-key valid. I don't know. Intuition is so strong. It is, but it's only strong if you allow it to really be strong and if you actually follow it and you don't judge the journey in which you go down. And that's, I think, the big thing that I've learned to do now. I go off of my intuition. I go off of what feels right. it is represented in the way I make the show, the Zerky show. It's all off of intuition. All of my titles are off of intuition. It's not like I'm GPT-ing, you know, some kind of, make me an awesome title and a topic. No, I just, I try to pull, I try to pull out, oh my God, I try to pull out of myself things that are important that I want to talk about. And that's why intuition is so

What are the consequences of ignoring our gut feelings?

Host 4:43
It's so integral to that. It's so integral to that. It's so integral to just how I live life. I've done so many things that don't make sense that if you told my mom and dad, they would say, what, are you crazy? Can we? Can we? Can we?
Host 5:13
Yes, I am. Yes, mama, I am crazy. Sorry.
Host 5:40
No, but I don't know. I don't know. What do you think about intuition? Do you think it's... A valid thing? Or do you think it's us psyching ourselves out? Because maybe it's the latter. Maybe it is really that, you know, we think we know what's good and what's bad. And so we're making a decision based off that.
