Jordana Abraham 0:00
Hello, welcome back to the UF Podcast. I'm Jordana Abraham.
Jared Freed 0:05
And I am Jared Freed. It is so good to be back here with you, Jordana. How are you? What's going on? What's the haps?
Jordana Abraham 0:14
I am good. I'm toasty. My daughter took a shit in the bath last night.
Jared Freed 0:19
Shit the bath?
Jordana Abraham 0:20
Shit the bath, yeah.
Jared Freed 0:22
Wow. That's as gross as it gets. It can get grosser?
Jordana Abraham 0:25
I think it can get grosser.

Could Jared really be an unfazed dad after gross parenting moments?

Jared Freed 0:26
Does the other baby look at her and be like, what the fuck? Like, are they in the tub together?
Jordana Abraham 0:31
We do like one at a time. One at a time? She is already out of the bath, so she didn't care.
Jared Freed 0:36
Yeah.
Jordana Abraham 0:36
Yeah.
Jared Freed 0:37
Shit the bath.
Jordana Abraham 0:38
Yeah, I mean, actually, I was thinking about the fact that she shit the bath, and I was thinking, like, you would actually be a really good dad, because I just feel like you would be, like, unfazed by, like, anything like that.
Jared Freed 0:49
Yeah, none of that.
Jordana Abraham 0:50
There would be, like, nothing they could do that you would be, like, gross.
Jared Freed 0:53
Truly not bothered. Like, yeah, gross, no. I mean, again, like, if you're on your way out and you've got your suit on for your big interview, you don't want to be, like, puked on. Yeah, like, but, like...
Jordana Abraham 1:04
I think you would just go with it because also because I feel like you have a lot of experience traveling when a lot of annoying shit happens.
Jared Freed 1:10
Oh, my God. I mean, like my whole travel advice is lay in the river and let it take you away. Like there is no like I think that's a good motto for parenthood as well. Totally. I think I try. I would I would hope to abide by that. I don't know what could change that. you know, from now till then, but like I, you know, nothing, I'm like, I've always, the one that, because I come on here and rant, maybe people wouldn't expect us to... Like, maybe people think I'm, like, bullshitting.
Jordana Abraham 1:42
Higher maintenance, maybe, than you would think.
Jared Freed 1:43
Right, but I have a lot... Patience has always been something I've been... I felt I've had.
Jordana Abraham 1:51
Yeah.
Jared Freed 1:52
Patience. I agree with that. Right, like, I don't... Especially, like, travel. I don't know. Like, crying baby on a plane, I think, is, like, the most bullshit... Thing to get annoyed about? I don't think anyone's ever been annoyed about that. Like, I... In what sense? Like, when is it not the person who sucks and not the baby?
Jordana Abraham 2:10
Right.
Jared Freed 2:10
I mean, that person sucks in other. If you're annoyed at baby crying on a plane, I think there's a high correlation with you and being awful. Like, right. People don't want you at their wedding.
Jordana Abraham 2:22
What about what about the you ever see those things like those New York Post post articles that are basically like. This mom asked me to switch seats with her so that she could sit with her family or with the daughter. And I said no. You ever see those? They come up all the time.
Jared Freed 2:38
Those articles always surprise me because I'm like... I'm like, what you end up finding from those articles is like in the comment section, like that there are communities you didn't know existed. Like what? So it's like, they're like the woman who didn't want to switch seats with the mom. Then there's the people who are like, the I'm not, what is it called? The not having babies community. Oh, the child free by choice. The child free by choice. All of a sudden the child free by choice people come in and they're like, and now the woman who wouldn't change, she's got an army full of miserables that are going to defend her to the death. And then you have the people who are the moms. Now you have the mom army who are like, you got to sit with your kid and your husband.
Jared Freed 3:25
You got to lean on their shoulder. And they're both insane.
Jordana Abraham 3:28
Would you give up your seat for a child?
Jared Freed 3:31
For a child? To sit with their mom? To sit with their mom? I probably would. Really? Yeah. Is it middle seat? This is the part that gets me annoyed.
Jordana Abraham 3:44
You have to sit in the middle seat.
Jared Freed 3:44
Are you asking me to switch from my aisle to your child's middle so that you can... To me, you're being a menace to society. Who's the asshole in that scenario? I would say that there's a very high asshole rate for someone who doesn't consider the type of seat they're asking to switch. If it's middle for middle, yeah, who cares?
