And you know what's crazy about that first live event ever? It's like we didn't know what live events would turn into or how it would go. The first live event was like paid tickets.
Yeah. Do you guys remember the price? Yep. I remember the price. Was it $50? $30. No, it wasn't. $40? jeremy forgot it's 50 for general ga yeah and 150 was 150 yeah crazy sold out basically sold out the first day which is crazy and then we're like you know what this doesn't feel right we're gonna make it all free
Well, the thing that was, like, what people didn't realize is, like, we had to pay for the venue. There was security costs to pay all that. We had to pay for all the videographers. We had to pay for the insurance.
We had to pay, like... Right, but at the end of the day, it made... I mean, it at least broke even. It made a tiny bit of money. Yes, but I'm saying... It's like, these live events now make zero money. They only cost thousands and thousands and thousands. Every time we go, it's, like, almost 10 racks. True. And they make not a dime. Literally. And we charge nothing. It's like, that one was at least... Why did we turn that? Why did we stop? Yeah, why did we stop?
No, I'm kidding. I know. But ultimately, thank you to the donors and the Koth members. That's basically how we're able to justify these costs and continue to do them. And we want to continue. If you come to these events for free and you see somebody in a Koth membership, kiss them on the forehead.
Give them a holy kiss, guys. First theologians. Thessalonians.
But yeah, that was the two topics. That was what I wanted to bring up. I just think it's cool how much we've progressed in one year.
Yeah, in one year. And the live events, it's just crazy how much they've progressed. Because even after that, the next live event was the Sermon on the Mountain. That's what we thought live events were going to be. It was private. You kind of apply.
