Today is about thankfulness, how to apply gratitude. And as you guys can see, it's obviously Thanksgiving themed. So we have to obviously talk about thankfulness and gratitude. Gobble, gobble. So, yeah.
It's the holiday season, you know. A lot to be thankful for. The end of the year, reflection, thankfulness. A lot of family time for Thanksgiving. How your year went. Big meals. Yes. So far, I'd like to ask you, this is my pre-question to the pre-question, is how has your year gone so far, would you say? Rate it out of 1 to 10.
Oh, man. A million.
I said rate it from 1 to 10, and this guy wanted to overachieve a million.
I don't know how to count. No, but it's just been really good. I mean, we hit all the milestones, all the moonshots that we wanted, and we superseded a bunch of stuff. I mean, we're literally achieving. This is what Jeremy has said, guys. You guys can check him in the comments if it's true. But he's like, it takes influencers like five years, year five, like you achieved in like year one. So I was like, wow, I think we should give each other a round of applause. Honestly, I'm thankful for that.
Yes. Yeah. It's been growing beautifully. So for you, the way Core of the Heart has grown is what made the year so great. Is there anything else?
Just the struggles behind the things that we overcame. You guys don't know what it actually takes to really do podcasts, to do all this, to just run a business in general. A lot of hiring, a lot of firing, a lot of like just a bunch of stuff, man. And like thankful to the ones who came on, the ones who are still with us, the ones who aren't with us. We're just I think we received a lesson or a blessing in every situation, which is immaculate. Like that's very rare, you know, to to be able to do that. So we learned and we excelled in all ways, basically. So.
What about you? What would you rate your year so far?
A million. Does that fit into one through ten? Yes. I think it was a really phenomenal year that well outdid my expectations. I'm trying to think of what we were doing right around this time last year or when the year was turning and we were filming the Polanski documentary.
Was that only a year ago?
It was December. December. Yeah, that's true.
Not even a year ago. Wow. We were figuring out how we were going to even what that was even going to be. We didn't know that was a documentary.
Yeah. We bootstrapped everything.
And like that kind of that document, we didn't have a penny to our name. No. That documentary was low-key, reflective of the business at the time. We had a lot of good sauce, but no idea what to do with it. No direction. No money. Probably a tenth of the views. Not as much social proof. But a lot of risk, but a lot of but a lot of like fun and a lot of just good. Like we knew what we were doing, like in the back of our heads. And it just now that a year later, looking back, it's like, wow, we did everything we said we were going to do and more. And then it all actually worked out like it's just crazy.
You know, we're almost at a millie. no the documentary by the time this comes out the documentary hit a million in one month in one week and our goal was to try to get to that in three three months no no our goal was was 500 000 in three months oh yeah oh my god man god be blessing it and here's the thing you know you know what i do appreciate about this group is that you guys are all like risk takers like if any one of us are like i don't know if i want to do that the other two are like no let's do it i mean
