Okay.
So this is our
How does Donna Donahue frame the debate: buying, selling, or holding on page‑speed importance?
shorter form, I'm gonna throw a series of questions at you. And these are gonna be, you know, a little more bite-size, but they're gonna have a theme to them. And so the first one I'm gonna throw at you is gonna be buy or sell. Are you buying or selling that page speed will be less important in the age of AI search?
I'm gonna do neither. I'm gonna take out a loan. I'm not gonna buy or sell. I'm gonna hold on to it. Just like you know, don't gamble money that you can't afford to lose. Because I think that Page Lows V is always going to be important, but I think that one thing that will never go away is the fact that content is king. So I think page load speed is gonna be important because, you know, of course the AI scrapers have to go and find the content and if they're having a hard time getting through your site, because it serves up a bunch of five oh fives and four oh fours and or not five oh five's five oh threes and things like that.
Why does Donna argue that content quality will remain the dominant ranking factor?
I I think that it's going to be important, but I that's what I'm gonna hold off for right now. Right now page load is probably still more important, but we'll wait and see what happens in the future.
And I and I I like the I like the creativity on it, going off script with the lum. And for me, it's an interesting question too, because it's like end of the day user experience, page speed's important. Once, even if you're getting less users to your site, like that experience of once they get there is gonna be super critical. We've seen all the studies of how page speed can impact conversion rates, but then you can kind of go out on that. limb from a thought experience as far as well with ChatGBT, if it's just extracting and training from your content, it doesn't really rely on at speed, but then in which you also play into how much does that impact the crawlers that would be addressing it.
Time for a one-minute break to hear from our sponsor, Previsible. So you're looking for SEO help, then you got a couple of options. You could start replying to spam from agencies that claim they can get you to rank number one on Google. You can pay an hourly rate for a consultant who will inevitably nickel and dime you with hourly charges, or you can work with a cookie cutter agency to quickly launch a strategy-less project with low success rate. None of those sound very good.
How do user‑experience and conversion studies influence the page‑speed discussion?
Now do they? Well, that's where Previsible's integrated consulting model comes in. Previsible draws from a collective 40 years of SEO and digital marketing experience to unlock your organic growth opportunities. They build custom solutions that combine strategy, technical expertise, content, and reporting to effectively operationalize SEO for your business. Pre-Visible's four-stage approach ensures that your SEO programs thrive. By starting off with a strategy first approach. Then they support you in your efforts to create quality content, help you identify technical issues, and most importantly, they'll work with your cross-functional teams to integrate your SEO strategies to make sure that your SEO budget actually drives results, not just your agency's bottom line.
So join brands like Yelp, eBay, Canva, Atlassian, Square, all who rely on the SEO consultant. At Previsible. For more information, go to previsible.io. That's previsible P-R-E-V-I-S-I-B-L-E.O.
I think though that it's just really hard to keep up with Google's criteria about page load speed because a lot of their stuff that uh a lot of what slows our site down are Google's properties.
