The february twenty fifth, two thousand twenty six meeting of the Fairfax County Board of Zoning Appeals will please come to order. Do we have any um matters to be presented by members this morning? If not, I'll review our procedures for those of you who have not been here before. Once your case is called, if you please step forward to the microphone and I'll ask that anyone who wishes to speak to that particular case stand, uh raise your right hand, face the clerk to take an oath. Once that's done, the applicant will be asked to state their name and address for the record and affirm whether or not um well ask whether they reaffirm the affidavit as was previously submitted. The applicant will then have a seat in the front row while we li get a report and property location um from staff.

Once we've heard the staff report, the applicant will have up to ten minutes to give their justification for whatever it is they are seeking today. Now that's limited to ten minutes because we do have uh detailed staff reports which contain the justification in them, but the applicant should feel free to add to that if they'd like to do so. I'll then ask if there is anyone who wishes to speak to the application. If you've not already signed up to speak. Um if you would please do so in advance of uh coming up with the clerk on your on your left at the desk. Each individual speaker will be given up to three minutes in which to speak. If you represent a citizens association though, you will have up to five minutes.

Morning. Good morning. Thank you, Madam Chair, and good morning everyone. I am Sinclair Williams with the Department of Planning and Development. The subject application is a special permit application requesting modifications to provisions regarding the keeping of animals to allow for the keeping of up to four chickens on the subject property. The subject property is an eleven thousand two hundred square foot rectangular shaped interior lot located on the east side of Shadeland Drive, between Nichols Nicholson Street to the north and Carolyn Drive to the south, in the sleepy hollow manor subdivision just south of seven corners in Falls Church.
