What are the procedural rules for speaking at a Fairfax County Board of Zoning Appeals hearing?

you
Unknown 2:03
Good morning. The July 29th, 2028 meeting, 2026, excuse me, meeting of the Fairfax County Board of Zoning Appeals will please come to order. Are there any matters to be presented by members? If not, I'll review our procedures for those of you who have not been here before. Once your case is called, please step up front to the microphone, and I'll ask that anyone here wishing to speak to that particular matter Stand, raise your right hand and face the clerk on your left to take an oath. Once that's done, the applicant will be asked to state their name and address for the record and whether or not they reaffirmed the affidavit as previously submitted. The applicant will then be asked to have a seat in the front row while we get the location and a report from staff.
Unknown 2:57
Once we've heard the staff report, the applicant will have up to 10 minutes to give their justification for whatever it is they're seeking today. Thank you. I emphasize up to 10 minutes because we do have these detailed staff reports which contain the justification in them. But do feel free to add to that if you'd like to do so. I'll then ask if there is anyone who would like to speak to the particular application. If you've not already signed up to speak, please do so at the clerk's desk on your left. Each individual speaker will be given up to three minutes in which to speak. And if you represent a citizen's association, you'll have up to five minutes. If there are any speakers in opposition, the applicant or the applicant's agent will have five minutes of rebuttal time.
Unknown 3:51
Once you have spoken, you cannot come back to speak unless asked to do so by a member of this board. With that said, we have a few items on the consent agenda to address before we call the public hearing portion of the agenda. Does anybody, any members of the board wish to move any of those consent items to the regular agenda? If not, we'll move those items approved, which is July 8th 2,026 minutes, and then their three deferral requests all approved. OK. So the first matter on the docket this morning is Gina Marie Terrazzo-Splanco and Little Brains Home Daycare, LLC. and SP 2025-MA-00152. And everyone who wishes to speak to this matter, if you would please stand, raise your right hand, face the clerk to take an oath.
