So Just wanted to let you know.
Hey Dan. Just just away then.
Yeah.
Morning again. Welcome to the regular meeting of the Board of Zoning Appeals of Fairfax County. I'm Karen Day, Chairman. Present with me today on the Dais are BCAA members um Pfeiffer, Sean Pfeiffer, Claire McDade and Tom Smith. Um and There being no objection, I'll declare that there is a forum of the BCA present. Participating remotely is BCA member Daniel Aminoff. At this time I'm gonna ask the member uh Amanoff, uh, to identify himself for the record, state the location from which he's participating and reason for the remote participation.
Good morning everyone. This is Daniel Aminoff. I am in Las Vegas, Nevada, and I am participating remotely as I uh am on business trap.
Thank you. Um I also ask uh to certify whether or not you're able to hear the proceedings and whether or not Um the members present here at the dais are able to uh hear uh Mr Aminoff participating remotely. Yes. Okay. Yes. Good. Thank you. Um Okay.
And yes I can I can hear and see everything as well.
Okay, perfect. Okay. Thank you, BCA member uh Aminoff, and I take note that Article eight of our bylaws consents to participation of remote participants and Absent objecti absent objections from the BZA members will find the declarations um by the remote participant, meet the standards established in the bylaws, to manifest consent by the BZA of such participation. I also note that the foregoing um Proceedings establish that the BZA members participating remotely can be heard by members of the BZA assembled here in the room. and that appropriate security for participation is in place. Um So at this point we can move along to our regular opening statement. Do we have any matters to be presented by members this morning?
Seeing none, I will review our process uh and procedures for those of you who have not been here before. When your case is called, if you would please step up front to the um microphone And I will ask that anyone present who wishes to participate um and speak in that particular case to stand, raise your right hand, face the clerk and take an oath. Once that's done, the applicant will be asked to state their name and address for the record and whether or not they reaffirm the affidavit that was previously submitted. The applicant will then be asked to have a seat in the front row next to staff here on the on the your left. Um while we get a location and report from staff. Once we've heard the staff report, the applicant will have up to ten minutes to give their justification for whatever it is they are seeking today.
I emphasize up to ten minutes because we do have the detailed staff reports which contain the justification in them. But the applicant should feel free to add to that if they would like to do so. I'll then ask if there's anyone who wishes to speak to this uh to the application. If you have not already signed up Um to speak, please do so with the clerk on your left. Uh so we have your name and address um four minutes. Each individual speaker will be given up to three minutes in which to speak. If you represent a citizens' association, you'll have up to five minutes. If there are any speakers in opposition, The applicant will have uh five minutes rebuttal time or up to five minutes rebuttal time. Once an individual has spoken, they cannot come back to speak unless they're asked to do so by a member of this board.
And with that said, uh we can we have an administrative item to call prior to getting started with the public hearing section. Um which this morning Sabdul S. Amadi and Amina Amadi in VC dash two thousand twenty two dash MA dash zero zero zero twenty. And that case is being administratively moved to November nineteenth, I see.
