We had a meeting, our third meeting, community meeting last week on the 30th. Updating the community on both the National Register nomination and talking a little bit about the overlay district, the process, what it will entail so that they have a better understanding of that. So we have been working to extend the approved district boundaries because the community asked for a larger area to be included in the nomination. We initially went to the Virginia Department of Historic Resources with this to discuss expanding the nomination to include more of Leopold Preserve, which has impact archeological sites that we know of. To get that approval, we had to go back to the original preliminary information form, which is the process that established the boundaries.

So we can go forward and write the nomination now. So what does that mean for the ARB? The ARB, one of your duties is to review National Register nominations. So when that document comes in and we're thinking the schedule now, which is the revised schedule since it took longer than anticipated to get this additional area certified, probably around January, February, this will come to you to review. So you'll be seeing this nomination We're probably going to be reviewing at the same time we're going to be looking at because staff is going to be looking at it. Normally we would look at it first and have them address our comments and then give it to you, but since the timeline has been so delayed, we're trying to expedite things as much as we can.
