And I thought, oh, wouldn't it be lovely just to sell candles in a rural village in

France or something.

But I just knew it was too important because it would give other people, you know, courage is contagious, so is cowardice.

And I didn't want to be a coward.

Oh, gosh.

And I know there's a lot.

Yeah, let me do two.

So one was Wendy McCarthy.

And Wendy McCarthy is now in her 80s and she has for decades been a feminist, a women's rights activist, educator, a whole bunch of things.

She was actually once a deputy chair on the board of the ABC.

So she's held a myriad of roles.

And in the 1970s, it was illegal to have an abortion in New South Wales.

And her and a bunch of other women took out a four-page advertisement in the newspaper declaring that they'd had an abortion and taunting the police to come and arrest them.

So she did something that would have maybe gotten her on the wrong side of the law, but also used the media cleverly because if they had come to arrest them, she said, oh, I kind of would have wanted them to arrest me because then we would have had the cameras ready that they're arresting women.

And what I love about her is that she's done so many great things for women.

She reached out to me to support me when I was going, when everybody else was kind of running and hiding, taking cover from me, to go, keep going.
